Chesty Puller ruffled some feathers by saying Catholic chaplains were the best. He said they were typically younger, no wife or family to slow them down, and ready to deploy anywhere, anytime, on any assignment.

What I wouldn’t give to attend a Mass celebrated by any one of these astounding servants of God.

I was very glad to have Catholic chaplains available during my time in SEA. Also heard Mass on the deck of a warship at sea because we had a chaplain on board. I admire them.
