Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Oh LORD, Our God,
How Excellent is Your Name Over All the Earth!
Omnipotent,
Omniscient,
and Omnipresent,
You Alone Are Worthy to be Praised and Worshiped.
You Alone Are Holy,
You Alone Are LORD,
You Alone Are The One True God of Abraham.

Only You, Oh LORD reign on High,
You Are clothed with majesty;
You have girded Yourself with strength.
Surely the world is established,
Your throne is established from of old;
You are from everlasting.

Abba Father!
You Are Clothed in Majesty!
You Are The Creator of All That Is!
And You Tell Us in Your Word,
That You Are The All in All,
And That In You,
All Things Hold Together!
You Are The Answer To All Our Questions,
All Our Theories,
All Our Wonders!

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.

We Pray For Our President,
And other Leaders of Our Beloved USA
May They Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Knowing that I would be going to Israel in a few weeks, I dutifully purchased cassettes to play in my car to learn Hebrew and Arabic. Since I did a lot of driving, and have a knack for languages anyway, I learned quickly. Soon I was able to order coffee, ask directions, and be polite in Hebrew and Arabic. Of course, when I got to Israel, I found out that everybody spoke English. Who Knew? But I was able to move our bus driver to tears, singing to him in Russian and Yiddish. (learned from Theodore Bikel records back in the 60's).

The most important words to learn in ANY language are the polite ones. By being polite and respectful, one can save oneself a lot of trouble. The Hebrew and Arabic words for "Thank You" are very similar, and are based on Today's Worship Word. "Todah" means "Thank You, and "Todah Rabah" means "Thank You Very Much".

Now here is an interesting thought. The Japanese word for "Thank You" is "Arigato". This word is derived from the Portuguese "Obligato", which means "Obliged". We even say "much obliged" in colloquial English to say "Thank You" as well. This hints at the idea that we have an obligation to express our Thanksgiving. And why not? God has given us EVERYTHING, and all good things come from Him and Him alone.

Then we have the Spanish and Italian words for "Thank You" and guess what. The are directly related to God's Grace (Gracias and Grazie).

We are told to "Enter His Gates With Thanksgiving", and indeed, prayer is impossible without a profound attitude of gratitude.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)

God Bless America!

Joining in prayer.

For what it’s worth, umpteen years ago and I mean umpteen on a quick trip to Mexico my high school Espanol got us butter at our table and another time when I asked in Spanish where is a bathroom, we were escorted to one that really was top of the line evidently not used often by the general public.
