Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

The Internet is full of home-made videos of kittens, puppies, and children spinning around with glee. There is no shame or embarrassment, and the complete joy and abandon is a pleasure to watch. Here is one about Dogs. (I especially love the segment with the returning soldier at 2:01.)
Today's Hebrew word for Prayer is "gil'
This word, which is usually translated as "REJOICE" is from a root which meant "to spin around". Most "religious people" would find such uninhibited joy to be "out-of-line", but here it is, in the Bible.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth. " (Hosea 6:3, NIV)
God Bless America!

Amen. We had a few young children who used to dance as inspired by the Holy Spirit. They would frequently spin. Unfortunately, they grew into self conscious teenagers. I miss their worship in dance,

Adolescence is a very self-conscious time.
Unfortunately, some people never emerge from it.

Animals teach us a lot.
Indeed they do. before the Fall, they were all our friends. God, in His Wisdom, allowed some of that friendship to remain with certain species such as dogs and horses. Some folks might even include cats in that category. =^..^=

Someone asked me if yesterday’s word “barak” had anything to do with Barack Obama. Here was my response:
“God Forbid!
Obamas name is from the Arabic, and means Lightening. THAT barak is actually mentioned in the book of Luke, Chapter 10, when Jesus says, I saw satan falling like lightening from heaven.
Lightening from heaven in Aramaic, which is similar to Arabic, is barak au bama.
Since Jesus spoke Aramaic rather than Greek, His words concerning the rebellion of lucifer become a cosmic pun that no one would get for nearly 2000 years.
Also barak was the name of mohammeds mythical flying horse that muslims claim he rode from Jerusalem to heaven.
The Barak in the Book of Judges was a General who did not want to go into battle without the presence of the female Judge Deborah.
Deborah said something like, OK, Ill go with you, but the credit for the victory is going to go to a WOMAN.
But...this barak means to bless or humble oneself before God. All the other baraks would do well to heed this warning! :-)”
And that is, as they say, That.
