MADRID, Spain (ChurchMilitant.com) - Stricken with COVID-19, exorcist Fr. José Antonio Fortea is describing the pandemic as a lesson from God one that underscores not only the inevitability of judgment, but also Christ's love for humanity.
"We have been living in a sick society," Fr. Fortea said in a March 30 Spanish-language post to YouTube. "This society has turned its back on God. This society has lived as if they were gods," he observed.
"I want to speak to you as did St. Paul so many times by starting with the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you," Fortea reflected. "There is peace in Jesus. We Christians help everyone, even pagans. We aid every child of God whether they are believers or atheists or sinners. Peace comes from Jesus. We can give help and love but peace can only come from Jesus."
Father Fortea is one of the world's most renowned exorcists, and was for a time the only priest in Spain performing the rite. He is the author of several novels and theological works. Until the diagnosis of his illness, he was also working as a chaplain in a hospital in Madrid, where he resides.
Fortea encouraged viewers to pray not only for physical health, but also their spiritual well-being. "We were living in a spiritually sick society," he said, "Everything that is around us now is somehow a lesson from God. This is a lesson from God. Old things will pass away, but we must still go through a time of tribulation, and it won't be short."
The Spanish cleric believes that God wants to use the epidemic for a "profound restoration." He added that he wants his viewers to reflect on Chapter 6 of Revelation, where St. John records.....

All Christians are given the power to cast out devils. (a.k.a. evil spirits, demons)
Jesus Christ told the disciples this just before He left.
See?
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 ¶ So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
....but I thought it was Gaia’s revenge......Pope Franky said so.
This is the parable of the weeds unfolding.
Every time I read about someone doing an exorsism, I just shake my head. 999 out of 1000 persons don’t even know the difference between it and doing Deliverance! The former is satanic, the latter is the real deal taught by Jesus.
Jesus Christ, while on earth, exorcised quite a few demons; but I guess you know better.
Even before Jesus came on the scene, people were afflicted by them and a business emerged in dealing with it. This is/was a worldwide problem.
In Acts 19 13: Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. 14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? 16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
Here we see some guys who obviously has been making $$ in this business, but having witnessed the power of Jesus and now Paul in dealing with demons, took it upon themselves to try a 'new technique' which obviously had 100% success. However as they painfully found out, its not a formula and just using a name, but actually being connected to the person and being used by the one whose name they represented!
My concern about these terminologies Exorcism vs Deliverance is that they are totally different, though it is often lost on the masses.
In "Deliverance" its the Christian who is under the power & rule of Jesus Christ, brings the power of the Risen Glorified ONE who defeated Satan and took the keys of Death & Hell from him. The patient who is under satanic possession & oppressions is getting relief as the demons are driven from them.
In "Exorcism" (which is being done everywhere since the beginning of time), the person who is doing the exorcism actually has a strong demonic power living within themselves and they try (actually pretend to) subdue the demons in the patient; i.e. a Bigger boss subduing a lesser one. However since Satan cannot drive out Satan, its actually a farce and the patient actually gets only a temporary relief, as the demon(s) eventually reappear after the bill is paid. Also those same charlatans pretend that they can heal, but Satan cannot heal anyone and the sickness is only temporarily moved around in the patient's body.
So while the real deal is properly called Deliverance (the patient is being delivered from the powers of Evil), Exorcism is a big demon or evil spirit, in negotiations to subdue a lessor one and they pretend the patient is being healed & delivered.
Its all a fake act!
To further prove this, I actually saw a video recorded in a buddhist country where a patient who has clearly manifesting demonic behavior. The 'exorcist' brought out a small plastic buddha statue and the patient reacted even more violently at the presence of it, and when it was placed on their head they fainted. I just had a good laugh at the whole scene as its all an act in the spirit world, and the devils are laughing at the humans over the lie being perpetuated!
Not every Christian has every gift from the list you mention. Believers have different gifts but not every gift. Paul was bitten by a snake and they were waiting for him to die but he lived. Many preachers and believers have tried to handle snakes, been bitten and died. If you dont have the calling to be an exorcist you risk being ripped to shreds by demons if you try to perform an exorcism.
