Feminists Demand Women Clergy as Prelude to Abolishing Priesthood

Catholic campaigners spark international revolt for women's ordination

ROME (ChurchMilitant.com) - Catholic feminists in Western Europe are mounting an open "revolt" on March 1 demanding the ordination of women, while asserting that the creation of female priests is "only an interim solution" to their ultimate goal of abolishing the hierarchical priesthood.

Jesus broke with all hierarchies and would not "even want to build a priesthood," says Lisa Kötter, co-founder of German über-feminist movement Maria 2.0. Likewise, in an unprecedented backlash to Pope Francis' slamming the door on women's ordination in Querida Amazonia, feminist theologians in Spain are saying their "frustrations with the Church have reached a boiling point."

The rebellion has reached Rome, with feminists protesting the lack of women in senior Vatican positions. "No woman still occupies the office of prefect or secretary of any Roman dicastery," and "the day is long gone when there will be no need to resort to female quotas or that it is not news that a high position of the state or of the ecclesiastical government is entrusted to a woman," argues Francesca Bugliani Knox, in a "feminist" supplement to Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano.

Radical bishops are supporting the revolt, with Bp. Heiner Wilmer of Hildesheim, Germany endorsing Maria 2.0 and calling Rome's "just keep going" attitude to women's ordination a "betrayal of the gospel," while Bp. Peter Kohlgraf of Mainz is dismissing "Rome's objections to the ordination of women" as "often not convincing."

"We can't and we won't keep quiet," the Association of Spanish Women Theologians (Asociación de Teólogas Españolas) warned in a Feb. 7 manifesto, announcing a "revolt" on March 1 outside doors of the cathedrals throughout Spain, with Madrid as the epicenter of the insurgency.

They would have to start three or even four churches depending on what wave of feminism they are riding.

And there's avsolutely nothing stopping them from doing so with their own strong and independent resources.

If they believe in the basic tenets of The Gospel, let them serve God in this manner. We need people with a strong drive to spread the word of Christian love and peace, along with the power of prayer. It is time. I feel the same about allowing some priests to marry. It is time.

"If they believe in the basic tenets of The Gospel..."

...then they believe in the "Christ the Bridegroom" model of the priesthood rooted in Paul's church-anthropology (the husband is head of the wife as Christ is head of the Church.)

But they do not. Obviously. They think the epistles of Paul are an absurdity, if not an atrocity.

Go ahead and ask them, they'll tell you. Oh, man, will they tell you!

The book of Jude says we must “content for the faith.” That meant standing up against false doctrines which had found their way among the faithful.

I fear we have lost the ability - the strength - the conviction - to content for the faith. It is much easier just to go along to get along. But this never works. Their IS Truth and Authority, which is a concept Jude was dealing with. Once this is lost, there really is no way back. We must “content for the faith”, standing on the Authority and Truth of scripture. It really is time . . .

God’s Word predicted this from the Beginning

"We need people with a strong drive to spread the word of Christian love and peace, along with the power of prayer."

We also need people with a strong drive to spread the Word of Christian humility, respect, repentance, and adherence to commands before you can even begin to pray and expect God to listen.

The false gospel these chicks are spreading contains no love and peace at all, just haughtiness composed of pomposity, arrogance, pride, and rebellion.

"Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you." (Genesis 3:16b)

I think all of Gen 3 is very important and instructive. However --- maybe I need more coffee --- I'm not getting the point you're making here.

How does Gen 16b, above, predict feminists demanding the conferring of Holy Orders on women?

The word “desire” does not indicate Eve’s role as helpmeet
It indicates usurpation of Adam’s familiar relationship with God
That was the heart of her tempting Adam into violating God’s commands
Her desire was to be equal to Adam. She was deceived by Satan into believing she could be equal.
Feminism intends the very same thing; to be made equal to man by LOWERING the standard of what it means to be a man.
Kephale gets turned on its head (pun intended).
