--The fact that Bryant took his faith so seriously seemed to take many, including those in the media, by surprise.
The day after his last NBA game, one in which he scored 60 points, he told an ESPN reporter that he celebrated by rising early, drinking a cup of coffee, and going to church.
It was me, alone, he said. After 20 years, I think its important to give thanks.
When, by his own admission, he had allowed his life to spin completely out of control, being accused of rape in a Colorado hotel room, one of the first people he turned to was a Catholic priest, telling GQ magazine, The one thing that really helped me during that process was talking to a priest.
Parishioner Dominic Picarelli said hed seen Bryant often over the past 16 years...He said he was perhaps most impressed at seeing Bryant consistently, session after session, as his daughter Natalia and Picarellis son, Ethan, went through the two-year process of first Holy Communion.
Those at the Pauline Center for Media Studies in Culver City had a special moment to reflect upon. Sister Rose Pacatte posted a short story on Pauline.org about the day in 2004 when Bryant visited:
"He was looking for a special rosary for his wife, Vanessa. As the sister who was there tells the story, the other shoppers stopped and looked in awe as he moved quietly around the shop.
As he turned to leave, a small grandmotherly-looking lady walked up to him and tilted her head up, way up.
Mr. Bryant?
Yes, maam? he replied as he looked down to meet her gaze.
I just want you to know, she said solemnly, I pray for you.
He paused a moment and said, Thank you, maam.

So I guess you wont answer the question of Diddling Molesting Priests who repent
“Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, [I say], at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”
I have said it before and say it again.
Kobe Bryant did bad/terrible things.
That is now between Kobe and God.
Kobe Bryant did good/wonderful things.
That is now between Kobe and God.
I think everyone should list their deepest and darkest secrets. The things they never want to think about not let be known.
We can judge them for all time for those things.
Oh wait
The bible speaks of that too.
Matthew 7
“1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?”
Agreed.
Now I know youre full of sh!t and crazed.
From now on, Ill just skip over your lunatic posts.
Oh wait..so some clown can tell me to SHUT MY MOUTH..but when I basically say RIGHT BACK AT YOU and that clown becomes indignant..i can’t call him a hypocrit?????
Amen. I am a sinner and I admit it and Pray to God and Jesus every day for forgiveness.

It was not from that day. It was unwashed laundry. IIRC, it was not in her body.
But clearly she slept with more than one man before she did her laundry. But what are you going to say about kobe who slept with her, Michelle, and his wife ??? He had all of that going on at the same time
So What was he???
My childhood friend was murdered by a Priest. I have no love for the Catholic Church, so we agree on that.
What I find interesting is that so many people on FR want to hate on a guy they never met. They want to make sure that everyone knows how much they can hate a dead man.
I actually find it sad. But go ahead and send your anger out into the world. I am sure it feels good.
And we wonder why this place is so f}#ccked up.
I don’t hate on him, per se. He did a lot of good things in his life.
I Have done some crappy things in my life. Most everyone does to some extent or another. That is part of life
I don’t expect people to pretend it didnt happen.. or crucify a news caster who reports on his life.
Well to be fair..it’s not just Catholics...but this whole thing of you can repent and all shall be forgiven is nonsense to me.
You diddle kids and repent. TOUGH SH%%T. Go to jail.
I have yet to read one single person claim they were there when the ‘acts’ took place... But there sure is a phone book full of judgments made in ignorance. Course I also do not understand why an apology was sufficient for a criminal case to not take place .... $$$$$ at risk if there was a trial.
Read and comprehend.
When someone has rage and anger, they want to vent on others I am okay with that. My wife went through 9+ years of cancer.
I can take it.
‘Mouth’ was not in my direct quote, only a response.
“I dont care what anyone thinks.”
He still was making his money from crowd acceptance. He was commercializing for Turkish Airlines, Adidas, Spaulding, and Coke. He was producing movies and was in the act of writing a book with a south American ghost writer.
He needed crowd acceptance based upon his career to sell. And he was still trying to live down the sexual misconduct in Denver he bought his way out of. Having a public relationship with deity is a nice touch.
rwood
you told me to SHUT UP.
What I said was CORRECT when you told me to SHUT UP
I responded back in KIND.
HYPOCRITE
He had trademarked a name for his daughter. He was going to make her a huge Global brand.
And btw, I don’t care if Kobe pressured the pilot. He had a duty. If he is at fault as per reports about his license, the company needs to pay up. and pay up BIG.
Probably will go bankrupt
“Amen. I am a sinner and I admit it and Pray to God and Jesus every day for forgiveness.”
That makes two of us.
I shudder to think of an existence without the possibility of redemption.
Listen Chick,
Do you shut doors?
Do you shut windows?
Do you shut people out when they are upsetting to you?
NOWHERE in my comment did I say what you are claiming. My mother taught me better.
Agree to disagree and shut the conversation off.
I can feel the love on this thread. The warmth and kindness is something to behold.
