Christians sharing love of Jesus in Coronavirus hot zone
Christian Post ^ | Feb 2020 | Anugrah Kumar

While fear and insecurity have gripped the 11 million residents of Wuhan...Christians there have been out on the streets giving out masks and sharing the love of Jesus and the hope the Gospel brings...

Earlier during the week, a Chinese pastor living Wuhan, identified only as “A Wuhan Pastor,” wrote to the international faith community, urging them to pray and revealing that fellow pastors from around the world had been reaching out.

“It is readily apparent that we are facing a test of our faith,” the pastor wrote. “The situation is so critical, yet we are trusting in the Lord’s promises, that his thoughts toward us are of peace, and not evil (Jeremiah. 29:11), and that he allows for a time of testing, not to destroy us, but to establish us.”

He continued, “Therefore, Christians are not only to suffer with the people of this city, but we have a responsibility to pray for those in this city who are fearful, and to bring to them the peace of Christ. … When disaster strikes us, it is but a form of God’s love. Spoken for today, Wuhan’s pestilence cannot separate us from the love of Christ; this love is in our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The solution is with China.

Viruses form as a result of FILTH, nothing else. If the cleanliness factor was as strong as the "luck and money" factors there would NEVER have been a problem.
However, cleanliness COSTS...and there's the rub.

The more thoroughly Christianized a society is, the more civilized.

To add, there is a such thing as a highly sanitized, sterilized barbarism. Take Nazi Germany for example: the country committed mass murder in a rather clean and organized fashion. Or look at modern day Planned Parenthood. The diseases of the soul must be addressed first.

Hence why Jesus said: "Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean." - Matthew 23:26

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.

God uses natural processes in Nature among other things to speak to people. Although it’s terrible this pandemic is occurring, it is a chance to speak to people about their need for Jesus as Savior and help in the midst of difficulty even if it is made of their cultural lack of cleanliness as you put it.

Back in the Middle Ages, the church grew a lot during the plague as Christians tried to help the sick. I have no doubt that in spite of how terrible it is for the Chinese people, that God can turn it to good.

And in the Bible, The Church grows during trials and tribulations. You are correct.

The more thoroughly Christianized a society is, the more civilized.

I don't know if I agree with you on that.
I learned to appreciate my Catholic faith a WHOLE lot more NOT in a Christian country. In fact I started going to daily Mass because of that non-Christian.

That's it? Nazi Germany and abortion?
I DO agree that the diseases of the soul must be addressed first. But ALL countries of the world always have had and still have DISEASES of the soul--all the way back to when Cain killed Abel.

From Google:

Abortion in Denmark was fully legalized on 1 October 1973, allowing the procedure to be done on-demand if a woman's pregnancy has not exceeded its twelfth week. According to the law of Denmark, the patient must be over the age of 18 to decide on an abortion alone; parental consent is required if she is a minor. An abortion can be performed after 12 weeks if the woman's life is in danger and even in cases where the woman has mental health problems. A woman may also be granted an authorization to abort after 12 weeks if certain circumstances are proved to be present.

Scandinavia:
Abortion is not allowed if the fetus is viable, which generally means that abortions after the 22nd week are not allowed. However, abortions after the 22nd week may be allowed in the rare cases where the fetus can not survive outside the womb even if it is carried to term.

The Christian countries DO have abortion but I guess they pick and choose which laws of God they will obey. That sounds like human nature.

Personally, I think of Beethoven. He was from a family with MANY hearing problems and if HIS mother thought to abort Ludwig because of the inevitable hearing problems he would have, imagine how much we would have missed.

Beethoven composed his NINTH symphony stone cold deaf.

There are 1.38 BILLION Chinese, as of 2017.
1,386,000,000 Chinese in the world. There are 7.53 billion (2017) in the world. There are lots of Chinese, aren't there?

I DON'T usually believe what the Beijing press puts out. They do have an agenda.

That photo shows what looks like a Russian church...the domes and shape of the Cross.
