LGBTQ activists slam Gov. Bill Lee for signing bill
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (ChurchMilitant.com) - Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee last week signed into law what had been touted by the Left as an "anti-LGBTQ" bill, protecting Catholic and other adoption agencies' right to refuse adoption by same-sex couples.
Lee signed the bill because of his belief that defending religious liberty "is very important." During his first term in office, the governor has mentioned his Christian faith on multiple occasions.
Tennessee faith-based agencies already prevent same-sex couples from adopting children. The new law will protect these agencies legally.
The new legal protections have caught the attention of activist groups like the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The organization raised concerns about the bill, suggesting it authorizes the use of a "religious test to participate in a government program."
"Turning away good families simply because they don't satisfy an agency's religious preferences would deny thousands of Tennessee children access to the families they urgently want and need," the ACLU's Tennessee chapter wrote in a petition against the bill.
Reverend Jasmine Beach-Ferrara, executive director of the LGBTQ activist group the Campaign for Southern Equality, warned that her organization plans to "turn to the courts for recourse."

The Gaystapo sees it as preventing them from adopting whereas the churches see this as protecting the young and vulnerable.

Having come up through Tennessee’s state orphanage before it was closed by PC bureaucrats I know these children, already tormented by uprooting and often coming from abuse, need to be protected from and kept out of the reach of these deviants and perverts. Thank you, Governor Lee.

Are you saying Catholics worship sodomy because they have had homo predators in their ranks and covered it up?
Clearly, so many of these agencies have a radical leftist agenda that is not Christian. True Christians/Catholics do not worship sodomy. I said that there are many deluded persons whose sexual perversions and desires trump all else and that is their agenda (along with the anti-Christian SJW nonsense) and what they “worship.”
The Catholic Church (it’s not the only sect, of course) has a severe infestation of both Communists and Sodomites all the way up to this anti-Pope pretender, and if nothing is done to dramatically alter this situation, it will destroy the church as readily as termites would make short work of a small wooden house.
