The Catholic Church in Germany is just about to start a German “Synodal Path” questioning the Church's teaching on female ordination, homosexuality, and celibacy. There are essentially two bishops left in Germany – Cardinal Woelki and Bishop Rudolf Voderholzer (Regensburg) – who publicly and strongly oppose this controversial synodal path that has even already gained some criticism from Rome. Voderholzer stated in May of 2019 that this synodal path might very well lead to a “path of destruction.” 

Cardinal Walter Brandmüller had stated already in July of 2019 that “if one considers the statements of several bishops, then one can well say that this ‘synodal path’ leads to a catastrophe.”

There is a balance of law and gospel so that the law helps one “appreciate” the gospel.

If you dont think you need the gospel you won’t see its value. People often need to be convinced they need it.

Jesus warned about hell, losing one’s soul, in just about every page in the gospels. But I am sure this man knows better.

Different things motivate different people. Some people become saved because they fear hell. Some respond to the love message. God knows what it takes to reach a person.

Jesus spoke about hell more than anyone else in the Bible. We should pay attention.

Nothing against Fatima, but it’s not dogma or even doctrine. Just saying, the words of an apparition are not on same level as scripture.

I say the OMJ every day, but it’s a prayer, not (unto itself) a tenet of theology.

This guy is a cardinal...A leader of the Catholic religion...He has been teaching bishops and priests for who knows how long...

I am intrigued that Catholics can go a lifetime living under the tutelage of a cardinal (hierarchy) that is clearly no more Christian than Louis Farrakhan...The more I see, the more I believe that Catholics in general have no attachment to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ...There is no spiritual connect...The religion is more like a social club...Similar to the Free Masons with its rituals or any other similar group...And the motivation for membership is status...

If Jesus doesn't save you from hell, as this leader of your religion posits, what is the point??? Bearing in mind, these same fake Christian leaders when pressed, will tell you there's not really a heaven either, it's just a 'state of mind'...

I know these verses are worn out by the Catholic trying to intimidate non Catholics but if ever these verses can apply to anyone, it's this Catholic cardinal and the bishops and priests under him...
