Presbyterian Church Pastor: I “Proudly” Support Killing Babies in Abortion
Life News ^ | January 09, 2020 | Micaiah Bilger

Standing in the Kentucky Capitol on Thursday, Presbyterian pastor Rev. Wayne A. Gnatuk proudly declared his support for abortion.

Gnatuk, a retired minister from the Presbyterian Church USA, joined Planned Parenthood abortion activists for a rally to criticize two pro-life bills that could help protect unborn babies in Kentucky, according to WLKY.

“As an ordained minister, I am proudly pro-choice. I am also very proud that my denomination as a whole is pro-choice,” Gnatuk said. Along with his ministry work, he also is the chair of the pro-abortion Kentucky Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice.

Gnatuk slammed new legislation, state House Bill 142, which would prohibit agencies that promote abortions from receiving state tax dollars.

Years ago, when he ran a ministry-based social service agency that received taxpayer funds, he said he sometimes recommended abortions to people who came in for counseling. In one case, he said he helped a 13-year-old girl get an abortion.

“I provided to her and her parents what some people call all-options counseling,” Gnatuk said. “I helped them to obtain an abortion for the 13-year-old. I absolutely believe that this was the best course of action in that very tragic situation.”

To Gnatuk, helping women and girls abort their unborn babies was the “very best pastoral, moral and ethical care” that he could provide.

He said he is praying that House Bill 142 will be defeated so that pastors, counselors and others can continue to recommend abortions while receiving tax dollars from the state.

Though Gnatuk touts himself as a Christian leader, his actions defy biblical teachings about the value of children, the sanctity of human life and the killing of innocent human beings.

The Bible may not specifically mention the word “abortion,” but it clearly does condemn the life-destroying practice. Even in ancient times, babies in the womb were viewed as valuable, as is evident in Luke 1:41. Jesus placed great value on children when others in society did not in Matthew 19:14, and Proverbs 6:16-17 states that one of the things God hates most is the shedding of innocent blood. One of the ten commandments prohibits murder.

True religion rejects violence and raises up the most vulnerable. It defends the defenseless and offers compassion to the suffering. This is what pro-life advocates, secular and religious, do every day for mothers and babies across the world. They offer struggling families true compassion by reassuring them that every life is valuable.

“Helped a 13-year-old girl get an abortion”

Underage? Did he report the sexual abuse? If not, he’s an accessory to the crime!

Not merely support for a political position, it is in fact a sacrament of his faith.

And that’s why Presbyterian churches have been closing their doors faster than Sears stores.

I don’t know if you are interested, but the Book of 2 Timothy is a great letter in the Bible that Paul wrote to Timothy that addresses this very issue.

Cumberland Presbyterian is a thing. Associate Reformed Presbyterian. I don’t know what their doctrinal or historical differences are, but they’re both pretty thick in the South.

Cumberland is Presbyterian in polity only. They do tend to lean liberal.

I am currently Associate Reformed. Nice, solid Presbyterians.

I had never seen Associate Reformed Presbyterian until we moved to North Carolina.

Here is a short overview:

1 TIMOTHY gives direction for the order of the assembly; 2 TIMOTHY gives direction for the path of the servant of God when the assembly is in disorder and failure. In 2 TIM. Paul sees for himself the RUIN of that which he had built and watched over so faithfully.

1 TIM. is about the building UP of the Church. 2 TIM. views the Church in ruins, and instructs the man of God as to his personal conduct IN the midst of the RUIN.
(Charles Welch, The Berean Expositor XXXI)
2 Timothy is Paul’s last epistle. It was written to detail the APOSTACY that was ALREADY upon the church. It is a letter of instruction and edification in light of widespread apostacy.

Within the space of 1 TIMOTHY and 2 TIMOTHY, apostacy had taken hold.

Scary, huh? And we wonder why we don’t trust organized religion and seem to get more out of God’s Word when we STUDY His word rightly divided. 2 Tim. 2:15. Notice it doesn’t say to go to a church building or learn traditions and doctrines of men in order to please God. It says STUDY, not just read passages, but study what HE has so lovingly given us.
I hope this helps!

Let me know if I can help you further.

I don’t want anyone around here having a stroke because I said study God’s word for yourself and do not depend on others tell you it says. When you hear something or someone tells you something, always ask for the Scripture they are discussing. Then look it up for yourself to SEE if those things are so. The Holy Spirit resides in each member of the Body of Christ and is there to teach and lead us until Christ returns for us. He will NEVER let us down. MAN will, with their traditions and doctrines for fallen men by fallen men.

God bless!

https://www.theaquilareport.com/full-homosexual-inclusion-in-the-pca/

There is something called the “revoice” movement in the PCA that is trying to change the church’s stance on homosexuality.

Also, some PCA churches now have women deacons.

BTW, every church that has ordained women as pastors, goes on eventually to ordain homosexuals.

The OPC split from the mainline Presbyterian church in 1936, due to the mainline wanting to de-emphasize preaching the gospel in their missions work. They wanted to make it pretty much only humanitarian. We don’t need any of this Bible stuff. Men who wanted nothing to do with that left the mainline denomination and started the OPC. The PCA split in the seventies (I think), and that was mostly due to the mainline church becoming increasingly leftist and political.

Aren’t you glad you asked? ;-)
