More government intervention means erosion of rights. Government should not adopt parental roles. It was never meant to be that. It was meant to foster an environment where opportunities exist so people can survive and grow with additional responsibilities.
True conservatism would labor to restore the primacy of the man-woman marriage and nuclear family, not replace it with government offices.
It is not “compassionate” to rob others to preform what you personally consider “good” acts
Rather then rob consumers and workers with higher prices and lower wages, to turn around and perform feel good public relations stunts, Corporations can provide the best goods at the best prices paying good wages to it workers while providing safe healthy work environments.
They should not be interjecting themselves into areas of public policy that are completely outside their areas of responsibility and competence
Free market capitalism is the greatest producer of prosperity for the economic system as whole, and produces the greatest increase in real wealth for the average worker. It also is the system that is most compatible with rational metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, and politics. Feelings of pity and guilt are not reason to change what works.
