FYI: Lay Clergy in the LDS Church is that the leadership of the Church are non-payed and volunteer their time. This is true from Stake Presidents (usually over about 3 to 6 Wards) and includes Ward Bishops/Bishoprics (usually about 300 to 500 members).
My current Bishop is a professional welder, and is perhaps the best Bishop I have seen in my 58 years in the LDS Church.
So, during church services, who gives the sermon? Performs marriages, baptizes, buries the dead?
Individual counseling and confession, is that the bishop?
Oh, I am late to the party. Shooting started while I was out.
Well!
You seem to have survived the holidays; too!
