Reformation: Can the Roman Catholic Gospel Get You into Heaven?
October 30, 2019
by Eric Davis
"We will allow for Roman Catholic doctrine to speak for itself:
From the Council of Trent, 6th session, Canon 30:
""If anyone says that after the reception of the grace of justification the guilt is so remitted and the debt of eternal punishment so blotted out to every repentant sinner, that no debt of temporary punishment remains to be discharged either in this world or in purgatory before the gates of heaven can be opened, let him be anathema.""
In other words, you are damned if you believe that Gods grace in justification renders a repentant sinner righteous, with no remaining punishment or condemnation. "

Let this be a warning to Roman Baptists like John Piper
and Federal Vaticanists like Doug Wilson.
This thread should be fun....
I am not Catholic but I have a question:
What about the warning in the Old Testament about following false Prophets and Charlatans
Is there anyone in the world who truly believes that Pope Francis actually believes in God.
I do not and the reason why is because he is a Socialist and the first tenet of Socialism is this : THERE IS NO GOD
It seems to me that this would be problem for all Catholics. JMHO and I am only asking for clarification on the issue.
Faith in Christ will get you into heaven. When we get to Heaven, we’ll see Catholics, Baptists, Methodists, Lutherans, Nazarenes, Orthodox, etc.
Another gospel twice cursed.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.Gal.1:8-9.
I wouldnt touch this post with a 10 crosier.
There's something very small and pathetic about a man that cannot be happy in his own religion unless he is obsessively and angrily attacking the religion of another.

So obviously it involves ONE WIERD TRICK!
I love these kinds of articles. First, they claim that the text that proves Catholics are un-biblical is so clear and obvious that the text by itself without any context proves the point.
Then the very next sentence is always a re-framing of the text, starting with "in other words ..."

Faith in Christ, YES!
Faith in your church membership? NO!
In infant baptism? NO?
Good works? NO!
Confirmation? NO!
"In other words ..."

Weird you misspelled weird as “weird”.
Maybe your brain got miswired.
I think it’s impolite to argue about religion in somebody else’s house. Otherwise I might post a link to The Two Babylons...
The RCC is a false old bag that has denied the Truth of the Word for centuries.
That article was posted on a favorite blog, and it’s worth posting here.

This godless pope proves the papacy is anti-Christ and to worship and adore him is idolatry. The pope cannot do anything to save anyone. Gods Word is explicit in what is necessary for salvation and membership in a Roman Catholic Church is not one a requirement. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. This pope is leading unsuspecting souls straight to hell.
True.
Evil HATES this particular book.
You won't BELIEVE the reason why!
That is what I thought, but as I am not Catholic there might have doctrine I was unaware of.
Thank you for the information.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and God Bless You!
