‘That bizarre rationale that a Christian should have no problem voting for a pro abortion candidate because we live in a secular society’
a secularist, as I am, should have no problem voting for a pro life candidate, because the Constitutional principle backing our country is the pursuit of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness...life is the key to all things...
Really.
Don’t you just love it when nonbelievers give Christians lectures on what to believe and how to behave.
"Send Fredo off to do this, send Fredo off to do that, let Fredo host some Mickey Mouse program on CNN....."
I disagree. Socialilism is using government for charitable purposes at taxpayers expense.
That way you don't have to get your hands dirty actually helping the unwashed down trodden masses yourself.
The man who is bringing planned parenthood to its knees and who has kept the justice department going hard against pedophiles both at home and abroad has done more to advance the cause of Christ than any president in my lifetime.
Do you suppose he is less Catholic than the Pope? Both are at least nominally Catholic.
Well played!!
Cuomo knows a whole lot about Making a mockery of christian faithful. Since he does it almost daily
If you don’t think that liberals are using socialism as a means to self-salvation, keep firm on your position that it’s not the government’s responsibility to care for the poor and you will eventually see invectives by people who think they are otherwise good people.
I get it all the time.
True dat.
My apologies to gophers everywhere.
Precisely.
BTW, I went to your profile page and, as a /non-Jewish Christian, I am proud to stand with you.
We wait for Him.
When Christians stand up on issues such as the rights of the unborn or traditional marriage, they are attacked for shoving their religion down other people’s throats and are warned about violating the separation of church. When Christians support Donald Trump, they are attacked for not being Christian enough.
Okay, let’s say people like Cuomo are right. The only truly Christian position is to support whatever is opposite to Trump. In the last election, that would have meant voting for Clinton: a nasty drunk, a pathological liar (cf. Watergate, Bengazi), a shameless influence peddler who thereby enriched herself and her husband, a likely criminal who appears to be involved in all kinds of sordid and sickening activity, and person with whom it is dangerous to be associated because so many former associates met mysterious ends. In New York, Christians should have voted for Cuomo’s brother, even though he said that Christian conservatives are not welcome in New York. Christians should support the Democrats in places such as New York, Illinois, and Virginia, who have passed in the last year abortion rights to the point of labor and, in the case of Virginia, might allow the termination of an infant’s life after birth. Christians should support a party who booed God at its 2012 convention and has taken the lead in curtailing religious freedom of religious bodies that won’t compromise with the social policies of the Left.
Yes, all of those are paths for a Christian to take instead of supporting Donald Trump. Sure, they are.
I won’t be lectured by the likes of people such as Chris Cuomo. I have always supported Trump with a clear conscience. If I took Cuomo’s advice, I would have trouble sleeping at night, because I would truly be supporting the mockers of God and would be betraying God myself.
My response on another thread fits here as well. Post #31 on this thread:

Excellent point.
What a weak intellect. Typical leftard.
As per usual, left-wing hatred and religious bigotry come bursting out as a liberal tries to explain things.
Trump is the most important Christian leader in at least the past 1,000 years. He is advancing the interests of the American Church like no other person in our history. That’s because Trump has been appointed directly by The Almighty to take on a vital mission in these End Times.
I believe God directs Trump’s actions. That makes Trump the true leader of The Church, here in the United States and around the world. So, to oppose Trump is to oppose Christianity itself.
Eventually, everyone will understand the importance of Donald Trump and The Church will find a way to recognize Trump’s unique role in the history of the faith.
