Pope Francis: ‘Rigid Conservative Christians Are Actually Creating A Minefield Of Hatred’ (trunc)

Pope Francis has blasted conservative Christians who pursue their faith too “rigidly” cautioning their “rigid outlook” is developing a “minefield of misunderstanding and hatred.”

The head of the Catholic Church made the remarks he spoke honestly to cardinals, bishops, priests and members of staff in the Sala Clementina on Saturday in the Apostolic Palace, Vatican City for his annual Christmas address.

Other church leaders were warned by the pope that the church doesn’t enjoy the authority it once did anymore, proposing they should stimulate followers to be more inclusive of other religions.

This year perceived the papacy rocked by historical sex abuse claims and financial public embarrassment.

Start talking Nephilim, Fallen Angels breeding with human women, giants, the possibility of future rebellions against our Holy God, and most folks in Church will look at you like a lunatic.

Nobody ever questions why the Earth is the way it is. Why is there a blown up planet in-between Jupiter and Mars? Why are 95% of the meteorite impacts on Mars on it’s northern hemisphere? And why did most of those happen within a few hours of each other?

I’m a believer in the “gap theory” of time between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. Some people propose that it could be billions of years in-between that gap.

Pinging Mark17 for further insight.

Many popes have been criticised. I have only one problem with that. The media today hates the Church so you can’t believe every thing you hear.

Most Christians would say Jesus (The Christ) was referring to Matthew 16:16 in Peters confession to Christ of who He is.

Jesus is known to use a play on words a lot (IE John 14:6 in Latin reads: via et veritas et vita). He could have been using the same word-play “You are Peter (petros) and on this rock (petra) I will build my church.”
It was Peter who first proclaimed the Gospel on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:14-47).

Most Catholics will go with that version even though:

1. Scripture nowhere records Peter being in Rome
2. Scripture nowhere describes Peter as being supreme over the other apostles
3. If Peter truly was the founder of the Roman Catholic Church, it would be in full agreement with what Peter taught (Acts chapter 2, 1 Peter, 2 Peter)

Right. That's why I do it very carefully.

I usually start by mentioning the giants that Joshua and Caleb and the spies saw when checking out Canaan in Numbers 13:33 and the giants like Goliath and his brothers, and the Anakim and Rephaim. Then if people show a little interest, I point them to Heiser and mention his studies of ancient languages and manuscripts.

It is my experience that slow exposure to this stuff is the way to go. That said, some people just can't handle it...which is, I guess, why ministers and commentators have avoided it for 2,000 years.

People have trouble just getting their minds around the idea that the Bible is about the supernatural.

This is actually odd since everyone knows the God exists in another dimension.

I am always astonished that some people believe that God's reality consists of only a handful of angelic beings (God's little helpers) and humans. They just can't get their minds around the concept that God himself is infinitely complex from a human perspective and that his--God's--total activity/productivity is more than just the creation of humans and the Earth. BTW, I am not suggesting that I have any idea about God's other, non-human, creations. I don't, of course. Heiser touches on what the Bible and extra-canonical manuscripts say, but even that is sketchy.

Pretty standard traditional Jewish teaching is that humans had webbed fingers before Noah, and the genetics for it was wiped out in the Flood.

He said He would found His Church on “Rock” and named Simon “Rock” He meant what He said.

You've been lied to. The Greek for Rock is different than what he called Peter. "Peter", is a different Greek word that means pebble.

Wikipedia-

Catholics number almost 1.3 million, making up about 7% of the Saudi population. There is a substantial Catholic community in the country, made up exclusively of immigrant workers: mainly Filipino Catholics (about 1 million, 85% Catholics according to estimates of 2010) and Indian Catholics, the number of whom is not known exactly.

In Saudi Arabia there is no territorial jurisdiction of the Catholic Church: the territory of the country is included in the apostolic vicariate of northern Arabia, based in Awali, Bahrain.

When we lived over there we had a daily 9:00 A.M. Mass. The priest is called a "special teacher" since priests aren't officially allowed in the country.

I had to work every day but I did go to the 9:00 A.M. Mass every Sunday morning...and made up the 25 minutes I missed of work during my lunch hour.

My Catholic Indian co-worker got SO angry at me for taking the time off, even though I made up the time, that he warned me NOT to do it again.

I still did it and he told my Muslim boss. My boss said the following: "Harry, God is number one. There is always time for God. Cloudmountain can go to pray whenever she wants to."

My boss was correct; there IS always time for God. I don't know whose mouth dropped open faster or farther, Harry's or mine, but when my husband and I returned home to the USA I started going to DAILY Mass. I still do so today.

Our good Lord uses the oddest instruments to teach His children sometimes.

I have gotten a few of those looks too, when talking about the giants. 😁 I was pretty skeptical of who the Nephilim are, and how they got here, until I started studying the subject. It’s possible that they are here now. Maybe you have seen some good videos by Chuck Missler, Trey Smith, and others.

LA Marzulli and Timothy Alberino are other good ones as well.

Missler is still the master!

Just my opinion, but I think the reason for the Flood, was to kill off the giants (Nephilim)

He’s already committed heresy by saying hell is not real. Sometime in the coming year he’ll attempt to keep his homosexual priest enablers happy, the ones who orchestrated his ascent to the papacy by blackmailing B16,
by trying no to change church teachings on homosexual conduct. He’s been pushing the sofomite agenda for years. Homosexual conduct is going against every thing the Catholic Church is all about, everything God is about. Bergoglio the Destroyer could care less. He’s a Jesuit and probably a homosexual himself. He’s the worse thing to happen to the Catholic Church in over a 1,000 years. He’s a fraud of the first degree. He’s not a Catholic. He’s a nonbeliever., His contempt for practicing Catholics prove the point. He acts like he hates us.

I know many who feel the same, I believe in Jesus Christ, a simple faith..have no need of men for salvation...do not believe God installed Men over Men as His church..
may all find Christ in their walk..

Kind of a John the Baptist in reverse. Preparing the way for the beast. 😁

Don’t forget Heiser. He has added much with his knowledge of ancient Hebrew and Sumerian/Mesopotamian languages and manuscripts.
