My condolences on your terrible loss. Saying that, I don’t think your son would want you to avoid the holidays as such. Try to cherish the memories of past holidays and find a way to celebrate somehow. Perhaps even doing some volunteer work. Just a suggestion.

Nothing wrong with having impassioned thoughts of wanting to live when you’re ill. We know you’re not actively wanting these folks to be killed. Prayers you get your transplant as soon as possible and a speedy return to health.
