At the White House Chanukah party, Mayor Michael Wildes approached President Trump to thank him for his support after the massacre at a Kosher market in Jersey City by two black nationalists.
"Thank you, Mr. President for your extraordinary work today," the Englewood mayor told Trump in a video posted on Facebook. "Standing up to anti-Semitism has been in your DNA. Why is that so natural?"
It's always been the way I felt," President Trump replied. "As you know I have a son-in-law, daughter, and three magnificent children. Jewish. And what happened in New Jersey was horrible."
"I can't tell you how much means to the Jewish community, Wildes said. This is not a Democrat or Republican issue."
Mayor Wildes is a Democrat. And while he insists that standing up to the hatred that killed two Jewish people, as well as a police detective and a store employee is not a partisan issue, it very much is.
The divide over whether to describe the attack on the Jewish store as anti-Semitic began early on as authorities stalled on naming the attackers and misrepresented the shootings as random violence.
Mayor Steve Fulop of Jersey City broke the embargo by making it clear that the attackers had targeted the JC Supermarket, rather than randomly entering it, a fact which videos showed was indeed the case.

I know the mayor of Jersey City would never praise Trump.
He would praise Engels, Marx and Lenin.... but never Trump.
Praising him is nice.
Who’s he gonna vote for?
No longer necessary to truncate article titles:

Whos he gonna vote for?
If American Blacks have come around to the tune of 34%, why are American Jews so full of animus toward Trump?
Which American President in the last 70 years has done more for the State of Israel {other than Truman who had the balls to recognize Israel as a state and made it happen in the UN}.
If FDR had not died, he would never have recognized Israel, because he was a Jew hating communist. Given the history of the Jews in Europe and Russia during the last century, why are the American Jews so anti-2nd Amendment?
I would think that if millions of my relatives were slaughtered by gummints that had disarmed my folks, I'd be a proud member of the NRA, fighting for the right to keep and carry guns.
One of my lifetime friends is a conservative, gun carrying Jew and he cannot explain why he is the black sheep in his family {they all belong to the "Tree of Life Synagogue"} but he lives in VA and carries even into his Synagogue in VA.
Needless to say, they still haven't changed their positions, even after that horrific shooting.
Democratic or Democrat?
Not directed to poster - generic question = why has “democrat” become democrat - ic? Maybe for the ick?
Seriously - this is a new trend and annoying. The correct usage here would be “Democrat mayor”.
This is a new thing - does anyone have any theories?
This comes across as though I am the grammar police, however, it is not my intention. Rather, is there a deeper reason the ‘rats, especially the media propagandists, have switched to democrat- ic?
it’s not a new trend - they been using both for many years.
It’s not new. The official name of their party is the Democratic Party. They use the adjective to define their party. Same with the Republicans. They use a plural form of the adjective “republican” as their official party name. The difference is that the noun form, Democrat, can easily be used as well, while the noun form, Republic, does not fit the same way. Democrat can describe a person and a thing. Republic only describes a form of government, and sometimes is used in the proper name of a business, as in the old Republic Pictures.
Ignorance
At the White House Chanukah party, Mayor Michael Wildes approached President Trump to thank him for his support after the massacre at a Kosher market in Jersey City by twoblack nationalistsviolent bigots. ..."I can't tell you how much means to the Jewish community, Wildes said. This is not a Democrat or Republican issue." Mayor Wildes is a Democrat. And while he insists that standing up to the hatred that killed two Jewish people, as well as a police detective and a store employee is not a partisan issue, it very much is.
On the nose. Thanks Stepan12.
Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop said Friday its his opinion that the shooters who killed a police officer and three civilians on Tuesday afternoon had an even more sinister objective - killing students at a religious school next door.
A Jewish day care center next door may have been the true target, according to one report.
OK, I see a yeshiva now, same deal, different age group.
Easy question. Everybody considers “democratic” to be good.
Synonymous with freedom and fairness. As in “let’s do it the democratic way’. If a group is having a disagreement, as in where to have lunch, it’s let’s do it the democratic way and vote.
“Democrat” refers to a political party. “Democratic” refers to some lofty ideal.
Thanx for the information.
This is quite true and FDR would have gotten away with it, too. FDR would have played a double game, pretending to support a Jewish state while really sabotaging such an endeavor at every opportunity. And my fellow Jews would not have caught onto his deception either.
Sadly, that gun may come in handy these days.
“Everybody considers ‘democratic’ to be good.”
Aha! You nailed it - I am very suspicious that this is a purposeful change for reasons that you stated so clearly.
I didn’t know that about FDR
In 1937 FDR turned away the S.S. St. Louis carrying 937 Jewish people fleeing Nazi Germany. Many of them were children.
They were forced to sail back to Germany.
Trump and the rest of us conservatives always face the screams of libtards, including Jews, about stopping the illegals at the Mexican border.
Well, it was the Democrats who elected FDR and who sent these Jewish refugees to almost certain death.
