The man who threw the infamous Pachamama statue into the Tiber River has revealed his identity today in a video explaining why he removed the "pagan idol" from Santa Maria in Transpontina church near the Vatican last month.
Alexander Tschugguel [pronounced Choo-goo-el], 26, of Vienna Austria spoke to Lifesite co-founder John Henry Westen, telling him, "for me it was really bad, because I saw in those statues... a break of the First Commandment."

Isn’t it gratifying to see a young person protesting evil and destruction of Christian morality rather than the opposite?
Everyone knows Catholics are not supposed to pray to inanimate statues!
Maybe not every Catholic knows this. Maybe someone forgot to tell this one certain famous person in Catholicism about this principle.
when the first commandment fails, thank God for the Second ammendmen... oops... wrong thread.
What’s needed is for somebody to go in with a blowtorch to burn the damned thing, being sure to bring a ton of fire-retardant foam to protect the rest of the sanctuary from damage.
The young man would make a better Roman Catholic Pope than the present usurper.
The ‘Mam’ title suggests the story is a re-appearance for more 15-minutes of fame for the ‘It’s Mam’-man.
Beautiful defense of the Faith. God bless him! Will get his message out.
Obviously a typo. Sorry!
Catholics pray to saints for their intercession. Nobody prays to statues, except apparently Francis and his allies. Please don’t engage in Catholic-baiting and calumny.
My tithes are getting smaller as Ive added a Pachamma tax to the priest and bishop perversion tax I already had in place.
Don’t tithe to the Church. Send your money to other organizations that are actually helping people. I quit giving to the Catholic Church when I realized my money was going to Acorn and other leftist groups.
I still give to local charities, Salvation Army, and other organizations.
I also give to Judicial Watch. which helped expose corruption in our government.
Not only will I not give to the Salvation Army, I will not patronize any business that let's them set up their red kettle outside their doors.
