I'm pretty sure he knew ahead of time that he was going to stir up disagreement on the topic...why else did he post it as an OPEN Religion Forum thread?
What I'd like to know is what is the reason for doing so when this is hardly the first time we've discussed the Roman Catholic dogma of Purgatory? Do Catholics not respect the right of other Christians to disagree with them? Is it always "anti-Catholic rhetoric" whenever we do so? I tell you, I remain unconvinced that most Catholics are capable of defending their beliefs without accusing others of bias and bigotry against them personally. Don't they recognize their OWN bias and bigotry against Protestants? Makes me wonder WHY they even participate on discussion sites at all! Indulgences credits maybe???
