The first Europeans to arrive in the Amazon were invaders, she said. They never asked permission of mother nature or of the people who lived there.

She said she sees the synod as an opportunity to talk with a great friend, a great elder, (Pope) Francis, who can carry our voice to places where it otherwise would not be heard.

They never asked permission of mother nature or of the people who lived there. They imposed the cross and the Bible. That caused a great deal of resentment, I can imagine. Probably moreso from those who were carrying out the daily human sacrifice rituals than those who were being sacrificed.

isn't anyone wondering why this lady elegantly parrots the complaints of the liberal activists?
Or maybe not: She comes from a town that is a center for eco tourism. link

Yeah, they interfered with all sorts of quaint indiginous practices, like the Incans' Qhapaq hucha (human child sacrifice). Now that the Europeans and other westerners embrace abortion, it's all good, eh?

Too bad.
Every people has taken land that ist theirs.
At least europeans also paid for land, more than other goups have, they simply just went to war and started taking it over.
Or even what the mexicans are doing today to land we won in war or bought outright.

Ironic that this harpy complains that the Church tried to change the traditions of her people and then goes on to opine on how the Church should behave toward the women who are a part of the Catholic Church.
