That is powerful. Wow...look at the people. They are from all ages, races, walks of life. And in the commentary they never mention the Pope or any individual.

Clearly this isn't some whack-job group of American capitalist fossil fuel burners who hate the Pope blah blah blah. I know where my prayer intentions will sit during Mass today. Thank you for posting this incredible story.

I meant to include this translation of the Archangel's prayer, quoted in the above article:

In 590 AD --- a plague year in Rome ---, Pope Gregory the Great "saw in a vision the Archangel Michael standing upon the edifice (Castel Sant'Angelo) with drawn sword of vengeance. The Archangel looked at the icon of Our Lady and exclaimed:

Queen of Heaven, rejoice: Alleluia.

For He whom thou didst deserve to bear: Alleluia.

He is risen, as He said: Alleluia.

And Gregory the Great shouted out:

Pray for us to God: Alleluia.

The angel sheathed his sword of vengeance, and the plague ended.
