I keep hearing this claim of people “clinging to good works” as a hook to get them to Heaven yet I have never in my long life run into anyone who made that claim about themselves. I really think that people know the difference between works and Grace. Not even slightly enlightened Christians thinks his works will get him (or her) to Heaven. But people do believe, with no harm, that they can demonstrate their faith and love for the Grace they have been given by doing good. There is nothing wrong with doing good.

Indeed ... are you acquainted with what the Bible defines the crowns received at the Bema seat? Do you know what each crown represents?

Many times when sharing the Gospel with people, I would ask them if they were going to heaven.

Most would say yes they were.

When I asked why God would let them in, most would say because they were a good person.

Bear in mind, even though some thought they were Christians, most were not Born Again.

The majority of people I engaged were not Christians, but still thought they were going to heaven.

This gave me a great opportunity to share scriptures with them that would impart the Truth of God’s Word to them.
