Do not move an ancient boundary stone which was put in place by your ancestors. Do not move the ancient boundary stone, which your fathers have set up. Do not remove the border which your fathers have made from old times. Do not move an ancient boundary marker that your ancestors set in place.

The LORD tears down the house of the proud, but He protects the boundaries of the widow. Do not move an ancient boundary stone which your fathers have set. This is what the LORD says: Administer justice and righteousness. Rescue the victim of robbery from the hand of his oppressor.

And, of course, the entire Books of Ezra and Nehemiah.

Your prayer is completely appropriate in the Light of Scripture!

Nehemiah 4:13-18

“13 ¶ Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows.

14 And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.

15 And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that it was known unto us, and God had brought their counsel to nought, that we returned all of us to the wall, every one unto his work.

16 And it came to pass from that time forth, that the half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them held both the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the habergeons; and the rulers were behind all the house of Judah.

Heavenly Father: Protect those who build the wall, repair the wall, defend the wall, and let us hold them up to You to send an army of Your heavenly warrior angels to defend the borders, our walls, and ourselves from those who would come here unlawfully, and invade us.

As in the rebuilding of Jerusalem by the Jews returning from captivity in the Old Testament, let us defend the builders and repairers and our borders, with prayers to you and physical weaponry and determination as You see fit.

In Jesus’ Name, amen.
