The Inquisition in terms of murder by the Catholic religion doesn't mean much...The period from 500 AD to 1500 AD were known as the Dark Ages and for good reason...This is a good read...

However, if the term is used in a broad sense—to represent all Roman Catholic activity against non-Catholics—then the numbers rise dramatically. If the historian includes forms of torture and killing that did not involve a formal trial, along with religious wars and other forms of Catholic violence enacted against Protestants and other non-Catholics (in areas outside of Spain and Portugal), then one can easily speak in terms of millions of people who were killed.>

There is nothing in Christian Scripture where Christ tells his followers to kill unbelievers.

And there certainly is nothing in there telling the Catholic Magisterium to order the murder of those men, women and children who WERE worshiping God/Jesus...God will judge that religion and it won't be pretty...

Can a Catholic imagine torturing and then killing a person who is professing Jesus, because he won't join and submit to the Catholic religion/pope???
