Hey, elsie,

got any of those pics showing Roman Catholics showing their love towards the protestants?

The writer of this article seems to think RCs have been the only ones who have been "hated" in history.

Over the centuries, the Catholics dished it out as well...

I am a Protestant. However, if one confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord, is going to heaven. When we all get to Heaven, THAT is where the Perfect Church will be.

For now, I believe that Catholics and Protestants sniping at each other, when we should be united against the evils of this world (Islam, Communism, etc.).

And finally, here in North America, we had the Protestant English, who in their perpetual protest against apostolic authority, saw fit for 300 years to wage physical and cultural war to drive out the Spanish and French Catholics from this realm, clearing the field to make way for a Hebraic -Puritan oligarchy that we now know as the United States.

I will disagree with this statement.

Christianity of any form in the United States has all but been banished to the dark corners of the United States.

For any Christian morality to be uttered in public is to bring down on your head such vitriol as to make one crawl in to the nearest sewer to escape.

Even a few Catholic Bishops might join in on the attacks if you speak out against the LBGT mafia using Christian dogma.

The First Amendment and Free Speech are all but dead.

Really? Is that how Jesus would look at this country as originally founded? A "Hebraic - Puritan oligarchy?"

The author was also converted to anti-Semitism at the same time. His article indirectly mentions the Jews twice and contains a hyperlink to an anti-Semitic web site.

There was already a true religion and already an accursed nation. Neither one needed to be replaced.

I was prompted by all the hatred towards Trump and Trump supporters to do a vanity about hate, and how it is part of our heritage. Hate has helped us win battles against our enemies, so it is a vital part of who we are. The one who hates the most is the winner, so it becomes part of us. And how can we change that?

Anyone want to steal the idea?

So, when I left Protestantism (I was Southern Baptist*) and I was looking for the True Church—whomever that was to be—I knew that the main players for good and evil would be located in places where there was furious battle. To put it metaphorically, in an air raid the bomber pilot knows he’s over the enemy when he’s taking fire. The more enemy fire he takes, the closer he is to being above the target.* So therefore, in order to find the True Church on Earth, I would have to find the group that was severely attacked, ridiculed, and subverted. Yet, to qualify as the True Church, this same persecuted organization would have to simultaneously be fruitful and have spread worldwide.

Based upon that principal, all Catholics should have joined the Reformers, since they were severely attacked, ridiculed, and subverted by Rome and pagans, yet simultaneously became fruitful and have spread worldwide - with much martyrdom.

Yet rather than using the persecution principal as the definitive mark by itself, the author should examined the core beliefs of churches in the light of the only wholly inspired-of-God and substantive record of what the New Testament church believed which is Scripture, especially Acts thru Revelation. Which shows how they understood the OT and gospels). In which distinctive Catholic teachings are not manifest .

But the Catholic Church—the word “Catholic” coming from the Latin language, meaning universal—has spread across the globe in spite of all attacks against it.

Actually, its spread much depended upon the unholy use of the sword of men in order to obtain power (even in the 4th c., pope Damasus 1 employed a murderous gang in order to obtain his papal chair, and then used the secular sword against theological competition).

300 years in North America to make way for a Hebraic -Puritan oligarchy? Is he brainwashed? More delusion by an anti-America RC whom you evidently sanction. Obedience to the pope required RC rulers to exterminate all those she declared were heretics (which I think many TradCaths would like to do, or at least censor them), and thus, among other worthy reasons, many colonies opposed Catholicism obtaining a foothold.

Yet in contrast to Catholic countries such as Spain, it was here in America that Catholics obtained freedom of worship, and even predominated in many areas (now liberal), in a country that established separation of church and state. And Catholics also argue that the Revolution was wrong.

And so here we are. I was looking for the True Church, and I have found it.

Actually, based on his testimony and sophistry, he found delusion preferable to Scriptural Truth, and became an anti-American heretic, who attacks those in the one true church.

For the only one true church is the body of Christ, (Colossians 1:18) to which He is married, (Ephesians 5:25) the "household of faith," (Galatians 6:10) for it uniquely only and always consists 100% of true believers, and which spiritual body of Christ is what the Spirit baptizes ever believer into, (1Co. 12:13) while organic fellowships in which they express their faith inevitably become admixtures of wheat and tares, with Catholicism and liberal Protestantism being mostly the latter.

This is nothing more than self-righteous garbage that has permeated the churches today. Everyone sees evil everywhere other than themselves. God is love. We are evil and rebellious towards that love. We hate the light. We need to honestly confess OUR sinfulness towards God and others. It doesn't do us any good to see the twig in our brother's eye when there is a log in our own.

I would suspect if you suggested to this person that he examine the sins in his own life and focus his prayers on eradicating his sins, he would become indignant. Too many people play church these days.
