Hatred Converted Me To Catholicism
The Forge and the Anvil ^ | August 26, 2019 | Laramie Hirsch

Whenever God does ANYTHING in this world, He is opposed and hated. Anything at all. If God makes His mark, here on Earth, either the Devil tries to wreck it, or Satan inspires his children to do so. This disdain for all creation and any constructive thing is an anti-Logos, pernicious spirit of ruin. This deep brand of hate is a religious way of thinking, and this feeling can be as shallow or go as deep as it wants. The hate I’m talking about can be a subtle inclination, or it can be an overt obsession. For example, you can be either a Soviet-minded Bolshevist, or you could simply be a vandalizer—you’re serving the Evil Cause in some capacity.

Your understanding of history is a bit skewed.

To whom are you speaking? Please specify.

You are so confused :/ If it’s not the One True Church, why would you feel demeaned not being in it.

Indeed you are so confused, or a sophist engaging in logical fallacies: Do you really think "articles that demean all those outside Catholicism as not being members of the one true church" means they feel demeaned by not being in the RCC? I doubt it. Rather, it is the premise that the elitist church of Rome is uniquely the OTC, versus the corporate body of Christ, that is demeaning, as would be saying that one is not a Christian since they are not a Baptist.

If you don’t think the church you are in is the One True Church, why are you still in it?

More sophistry of illogic, for it simply does not follow that my statement meant that I thought Rome was the OTC. Rather, the objection was as said, to the premise that Rome was uniquely the OTC, thus demeaning all outside of her by her elitism.

If it is the One True Church, why aren’t you in it?

As your premise is false, so your question is illogical.

All in all, your illogical sophistical response is another argument against becoming a Catholic, and thus thinking as you manifest.

What's your problem, Daniel? You demean the Catholic Church, and Catholics, in most of your posts?

You even boast of it on your home page.

Did this thread really need to be posted?

As with so many others, apparently yes. Perhaps some of these are compelled by loathing those who oppose the Catholic's earthly object of faith, security and allegiance, even using one of the tactic of portraying those who respond to such provocateurs as being the haters. Or perhaps some are due to a martyrs complex, as such often feel compelled to provoke attacks, thereby achieving confirmation that they are martyrs.

Did this thread really need to be posted? I thought so; that's why I posted it. Or do you have a problem with a lone ex-protestant's testimony of his conversion to Catholicism?

I think the reason you posted it is to provoke discord ONCE again. You seem to enjoy starting flame wars. And I think you would have a problem with a lone (or many) ex-Catholic's testimony of her/his conversion to Protestantism/Evangelicalism. Do you think doing this honors Jesus Christ?

You’re confusing the Old Testament with the New Testament.

Luke is New Testament as I remember.

Luke 4:5-7 “[5] And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. [6] And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. [7] If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.”

Satan has dominion to do with the Earth what he will (if God permits it) until the Second Coming.

Demons are in Hell if they have been exorcised and cast there by an exorcist. But there are so many demons it makes no difference to us on Earth.

Here we go again.

Follows a predictable pattern.

1: Some thread about worshipping—oh, I’m sorry, ‘devotion to’—Mary. It dies when they can’t answer Scripture.
2: A week later, some number of threads about how Roman Catholicism is not only superior to all other Christian churches but in fact condemns all Christians who aren’t Roman Catholic. It dies, again, when they can’t answer the Word of God.
3: Either a thread trashing Emmanuel Goldstein—I mean, Dr. Martin Luther—or whining about how they’re such victims of the nasty Protestants who dare to post on open threads. It eventually dies because they can’t address the Word of God. <— You Are Here.

Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

What's the problem of RCs who exalt their church - if even their pope-less version of it - and thus demean those who oppose it, from popes to Protestants, and cannot seem to tolerate challenges to her elitism, by hypocritically censor it? Eyes they have, but see not.

I think the reason you posted it is to provoke discord ONCE again.

[34] Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword. [35] For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. Matthew, Chapter 10.

Quite right! Having a persecution complex when they are the ones who START flame wars is pitiful. I think they only show their disrespect for Free Republic and fellow Freepers when they do so. It certainly does not glorify Jesus Christ nor attract souls to their religion.

Catholics do not just include Roman or Latin rite Catholics. Please change you point of view.

There are 22 different rites of Catholics — all the same Mass-just different languages an rubrics.
