The exam board admitted it 'did not reach the right conclusion'
A vegetarian GCSE student was disqualified from a Religious Studies exam after her comments about halal meat were mistaken by examiners as being Islamophobic.
16-year-old Abigail Ward was accused of making “obscene racial comments … throughout the exam paper” by exam board OCR, which accused her of a “malpractice offence”, according to The Telegraph.
But it emerged that the comments in the June exam made by the student from Gildredge House school in Eastbourne, East Sussex, stemmed from her being a “very strict” vegetarian.
The disqualification was overturned after an appeal by her school explained that the remark that meat from halal butchers is “absolutely disgusting” came from a vegetarian standpoint, rather a racial or religious one.

If it is a Christian who 'murders' animals and then 'sears animal flesh' for food, it is perfectly acceptable, nay, required, that she criticizes in the most harshest of terms. If it is someone of the mohamedan persuasion, THAT is ABSOLUTELY VERBOTEN!
One odd thing about this whole debate is that the ethicists are (understandably) concerned about the seconds-to-minutes suffering of a slashed animal, and not concerned at all about the pain issue of slaughtering human babies.
I have long surmised that if we could convince people that unborn babies are NOT human, but rather kittens and puppies, abortion would be, in this sentimental society of ours, not only illegal but unthinkable.

Come to think of it, I have seen pictures of members of the religion of pieces holding signs saying “Kill the Juice”, so perhaps that pushed them down in the rankings.

I mean he was held at pretty much prophet status among me and my highschool art fag crowd. And now he’s “out,” because political correctness won’t let them consider that just maybe this man who saved our sadsack lives with his music might be onto something. Pisses me off.

One doesn’t give up eating meat because they don’t like it. Animal products like meat, cheese and butter are all very tasty. But they are also making a huge portion of our society grossly overweight and sick.
I know, and I shouldn’t criticize other’s ways of eating (as long as it doesn’t make them sick and obese). I also agree with the vegetarian student that called halal disgusting.
Shhhhhhhh....... We can split her share...
