EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WKBW) In the wake of more than 100 child sex abuse lawsuits filed under the Child Victims Act, a sudden departure is now blindsiding a Diocese already in crisis.
Stephen Parisi, a seminarian, is announcing his "immediate withdrawal" over what he calls, "alarming and problematic governance" of the Buffalo Diocese and Christ the King Seminary. Parisi served as Dean of Seminarians at Christ the King Seminary, a leadership role among the young men pursuing a vocation in the priesthood.
Parisi wrote a six page letter to Buffalo Bishop Richard Malone explaining why he left the seminary. While speaking to 7Eyewitness News, Parisi described an "unhealthy, hostile environemtn" at Christ the King in East Aurora since he began there in January 2018.

“...drove us out of the Catholic Church.”
Capito. Please return to the one true Church. Everything else is artificial. You have been burned by the Church? Really? Well, you are not the only one. Just do things in Latin, such as mass, rosary and Bible. Then you will see how many losers are in Catholic leadership and how they cannot harm you.

As I learned of Jesus and accepted the wonderful gift of Salvation through His death and resurrection I am not in need of attending the Catholic Church.
The sorrow is that many, many people turn away from going to church because of ‘church leadership,’ in general and do not understand the how the gift of Salvation is a personal gift from the Lord God through His Son, Jesus Christ.
It’s not just the Catholic Church by itself that has fallen into the abyss of Hell; many other formal churches have gotten so large and social they’ve lost their way.
I don’t doubt there are those who have accepted Christ as their Savior, in the Catholic Church. I freely admit, however, not understanding how they reconcile the gift of Salvation with the requirements set by the Catholic Church in order to get to Heaven as well as a few other issues. While that puzzles me, I continue to pray for them.
Confusing headline.....
I thought a “seminarian” was a student at seminary....
Then the article says he’s the Dean....
