Are Catholic Bishops Stoking Civil War?

Are Catholic Bishops Stoking Civil War?

They've supplanted the hard truths of the Magisterium with the sappy, flaccid sentimentalism of social justice

America is on the verge of civil war. Our Catholic bishops, in a frenzy to flee criminal investigators, are helpless.

In fact, they have been AWOL for years.

According to the Pew Research Center, most American Catholics don't even believe that the Eucharist is the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ. For the past 50 years, our shepherds have ignored teaching that vital magisterial truth, as well as others — prime example: Humanae Vitae.

Instead, they have supplanted the hard truths of the Magisterium with the sappy, flaccid sentimentalism of social justice. For years they have allied politically with pro-abortion Democrats and mindlessly supplied them with moralistic palaver to stoke their hatred of the Church, Her teaching and Her faithful

The radical Left mounts that dead horse of white racism and drags it through our streetsfomenting violence and revolution. Tweet

That's right. Do you know that "most" whites are racists, and no one else can be? Yes, our bishops have formally taught that since 1979. And today the radical Left mounts that dead horse of white racism and drags it through our streetsfomenting violence and, yes, revolution.

Dr. Angelo Codevilla, longtime intelligence expert, university professor and author of countless books, has been documenting America's "Cold Civil War" for the past 10 years

In his latest chapter he tells us it's now irreversible: Our own Cold War is getting hot. And fast.

Codevilla renders a harrowing account of a haunting precedent: the Spanish Civil War, which in three years (1936–39) killed a million victims in a conflict that was not north-south or east-west but neighbor against neighbor.

"On one side were the anarchists and militant socialists, who viewed the war as a revolutionary struggle and spearheaded widespread collectivization of agriculture, industry, and services," according to Encyclopedia Britannica.

Sound familiar? Remind you of "The Squad," perhaps — that rabid gaggle of radicals that DNC Chairman Tom Perez cheers as the future of the Democrat Party? Codevilla makes clear their goals. Obama, Hillary and today's Democrats have groomed their "millions of followers to think and act as if conservatives were simply on a lower level of humanity, and should have their faces rubbed in their own inferiority. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo simply declared that pro-lifers and other conservatives have no place in his state."

And who's on the other side? Any idea who those pro-lifers are? Us, maybe? And how do the Left's storm troopers deal with their enemy? They wear masks, carry truncheons and attack us "inferiors" while police stand by and watch.

And now they're buying guns from the drug-trafficking cartels.

In Spain's brutal civil war, the Left executed thousands of bishops, priests, nuns and seminarians in gruesome massacres. Those leftists hated the Church as much as Andrew Cuomo, that proud supporter of infanticide. If he and his fellow radicals are willing to kill innocent children, don't you think they'd be more than willing to kill the "enemy" too?

But wait — why all the politics here? Because the USCCB's own longtime spokesman admits it: Power-crazed bishops constitute the most powerful faction within the USCCB. That faction "regards the Church as a platform for political interests," he writes. The truly pastoral bishops are afraid — of them, and of Rome.

Time's Up!

It's time for our bishops to do their jobs. Or quit.

They can't sit in the bleachers and indulge in their selective amnesia any more. They've got to come clean — about McCarrick, the Sodomite Syndicate, the guilty cover-up bishops still in office, the financial scandals — all of the above. They've got to clear the air and cleanse the USCCB.

Now.

Then the other shoe must fall. Our wayward shepherds must come home. Renounce their leftist harangues, their racist and socialist tirades, their self-serving campaigns for federal funding masquerading as "concern" for migrants. Lumen Gentium, the Dogmatic Constitution of the Catholic Church, leaves those issues to the laity, where they belong

Our shepherds have taken sides for too long. But note — please: We don't want them to take our side — far from it. We want them to GET OUT! And yes, stop pretending they're at the vanguard of progress when they're mired in scandal, corruption and crime.

They call for peace while their leaders stoke hatred.  Tweet

Our frantic bishops are in a feeding a frenzy. They bemoan violence and push gun control while the faithful are unled. They call for peace while their leaders stoke hatred.

It's up to the Catholic faithful. And we can't put this off any longer.

How Long, O Lord?

We often hear, "Well, the young priests are good, the sodomites will be gone eventually and the next generation will be better."

And what do we do with the raging civil war in the country in the meantime? Don't our bishops recognize that the revolution eats its own? That not only pro-lifers will be the victims, but bishops — all of them? That Cdl. Francis George was right — a future archbishop of Chicago will be executed — not in the basement of the Lubyanka, but in the public square, crowds cheering?

The time for the USCCB's swaggering virtue-signaling is over. Their insipid epithet factory with its unending series of distractions from their corruption just gives the Antifa Party more ammunition. That's right; when the gangsters come out shooting, the agitators will be quoting the USCCB's arrogant, hand-wringing manifestos, shouting "Xenophobes!" "Racists!" "Bigots!" — proud of their superior morality as they pull the trigger.

No, the faithful can't wait for another generation. The Spanish Civil War left a million dead. Do we want that here, with false shepherds running an American National Patriotic Catholic Church? Where they'll be smiling on the destruction of churches, the razing of schools and the imprisonment of good priests who can't escape to the underground?

Right now, today, Catholics and Christians are being killed all over the civilized world.Tweet

Right now, today, Catholics and Christians are being killed all over the civilized world. Do our bishops really think "it can't happen here"? In the 1930s there were enough Communists and anarchists in the United States to constitute an entire brigade that sailed to Spain and fought on the side of the murderous anti-Catholic Left.

In the early 1900s, Vladimir Lenin called his revolutionary bulletin Iskra — "The Spark." Today his American ideological progeny are ready to light the spark that turns America's Cold Civil War hot. The Catholic Church is their greatest enemy, so Catholics will be their prime targets. For our bishops, the time is now: Whose side are you on?

"They've supplanted the hard truths of the Magisterium with the sappy, flaccid sentimentalism of social justice"

I wouldn't describe social justice in those terms. I would call it very ugly, odious, deceitful, violent and hateful. Pretty much plain evil.

If one doesn’t believe in the Eucharist then why go to Mass? I am a licensed clinical social worker x40 years. I still work in the ghetto as our clients call it. Social Justice Bishops Pope thing is anti christ. I think I know a bit. It is also opposite of the Gospels.
