Thank you for the tip. There are some Byzantine rite churches that I’d also like to try.
I agree with you and I have similar experiences.
I have watched a TLM friend snubbed and insulted by many in her Latin Mass community when she got divorced.
There is still that garden of ways to please the Lord. Some forget that.
Francis is just more in your face Modernist than the other two. All cut from the same cloth.
The above BS is your opinion only.
Buzz off, Ebb! I’m not posting to you, and I’d appreciate it if you would refrain from posting to me.
Not when you state personal opinions as facts.
I will grant you that many elements of modernity crept into the Church from 1978-2013 on their watch. I will also grant you that on some level, the permissive atmosphere they ushered in (which I believe BXVI clawed back somewhat) emboldened the folks in the Vatican today.
But with all due respect, to say that the last three Popes were cut from the same cloth is like saying it didn't matter if Trump or Hillary won.
They were all Vatican II religionists, and therefore cut from the same cloth. Until Catholics recognize the fact that this all started with Vatican II they will continue to miss the mark.
I fully understand the horror that continues to emanate from VII. Just like I understand the horror that continues to emanate from the New Deal. However, it isn’t true that every President since 1932 has been a disaster. Nobody is talking about gutting the government back to pre-1932 levels but Reagan and Trump have been great. Similarly, while every Poinificate since 1962 has not recommended returning to pre-Vatican II levels, I’d put BXVI ahead of JPII who’d go ahead of Paul VI who’d go ahead of John XXIII and Francis at the bottom.
You’re comparing the Vicars of Christ to US presidents? You’re comparing Church teaching to government policies?
Nevermind.
No, I’m not and I didn’t. We need clarity of thought with the current situation in the Church. Godspeed.
