“They will get their kids in then complain that the churches teaching against homosexuality is hate speech.”
That may be true. But it’s easier to make the case that the gay couple should have known better than to place their children into a christian day care than to try and defend why the church turned these children away because of their bigotry towards the parents lifestyle.
I get it that there’s multiple ways to look at this. I just land on the side of the gay couple because this will be very difficult to argue in a consistent manner. It’s one thing to refuse to bake a gay wedding cake, i can get on that side. But to turn away their children from day care is a different topic to discuss.
Perhaps.
But there are many Christian faiths of different beliefs and I am sure they can find one that is down with homosexuality.
I sense this couple are using their kid to support their agenda.
So your position is that the first amendment protection of freedom to practice one's religion, and the freedom to self-associate with those you choose to do not apply to the church, its congregants, or their faith-based business?
You have previously said you do not favor a law forcing the business to accept the child, but you continue to demean the day care's practice of their religious principles. It's a curious juxtaposition.
