No, actually, you have your own interpretations of Catholic belief, but your problem is you don't know enough.

• It's a fun-house mirror image, with different parts expanded and swollen, other parts twisted, wizened, slumping or disappearing and the whole thing dizzily disproportionate..

• It's like lab-coated researchers who would freeze a puppy and then carefully dissect it with a lancet and tweezers, without ever getting an idea of what the word "puppyish" might mean.

• It's like the Blind Men and the Elephant. They have such an intractable disagreement ("An elephant is clearly like a rope!" "No, exactly like a spear-point!" "No, an elephant resembles a fan!" "No, a spear-point!" "No, a snake!" "A tree-trunk!" "A wall!") ---because they have no clue how it all fits together.
