BUDAPEST, Hungary Healthy families are more important than economic growth judged purely on figures on a spreadsheet, the Hungarian government told Breitbart London as it launched a new budget to support children and halt demographic decline.
The government of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán introduced the new measures this week, which from 2020 will fund the new Family Protection Action Plan. The plan is set to see a 224 billion Hungarian Forints (£619 million) increase in family spending, for a total of 1.26 trillion HUF (£3.6 billion) in subsidies for Hungarian families.

The one system of government subsidy I could support, so long as we get control of the border and get rid of the illegals already resident, would be monthly stipends to married citizen women who have third children and additional payment for each additional child. That should be coupled with ending day care for children of such mothers. Perhaps we can stave off in the long term being inundated by the third world that way. In the short term we need rigid control of the border and expulsions by such methods as loading an freighters with Latino illegals then leaving them disabled in the harbor at Vera Cruz. Ditto for other national origins.

In a homogenous society, like Hungary or Vietnam that makes sense.
It’s not so simple in a multi-cultural society, like ours.

They really need to follow through with this, because it is a lot more complicated than it seems on the surface.
It is intertwined with culture and encouraging close, but not too close, family ties. While things can remain difficult when a person is single, they must be easier when they get and stay married; and increasingly easy with children.
This even means creating “breeding towns”, optimized for families with young children, that, to put it bluntly, are rather boring places. Older adults are discouraged from living there, but older relatives are encouraged to visit.
Men work. Women raise children. Lots of churches, schools, playgrounds and children’s recreations.
A while back, someone innovated an octagonal housing area, with eight houses sharing a common area, and each having a smaller private yard. Vehicles and roads outside the octagon. Everybody who lives there are breeding couples with children.

They are more important.
But ironically, protecting them will bring great prosperity.
The nuclear family is the best engine of welfare from child care to elderly care to education to health care to food husbandry that society will ever have.

BTTT! Good news. May families prosper. (As a result, then, the economy will prosper.)
But families come first.

I would instead go with bigger tax deductions for children. We need something that specifically encourages TAXPAYERS to have more kids.

The best thing that could happen in the US is to limit LEGAL immigration and give our workers some wage leverage. Ending the H-1b visa would be a GREAT start. There is no need for artificial welfare programs that only serve to create more Democrats. I am ashamed of Freepers that support this welfare option. MAKE WORK PAY.
