” referred to the muslim terrorists as Daesh, as a slam against Israel”
Why’s that?
Here’s the definition of ‘daesh’ from Wikipedia:
“The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISI), also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), officially as the Islamic State (IS), and by its Arabic language acronym Daesh”
What’s the point of saying ‘daesh’ when it’s just an uncommon way of referring to ISIS? Didn’t Obama like to use ‘daesh’?
Maybe some like to use ‘daesh’ because ordinary listeners don’t realize that it’s just the ISIS bunch of terrorists.
“Levant” by the way, refers to a large area in the Eastern Mediterranean.
