I had an employee whose English was passable,
but when caught in wrongdoing, his accent
would get so bad, he couldn’t communicate
at all. I had another one who would argue
with you, and his voice got louder as
it dawned on him he was wrong. ;)

Admitting to being wrong is painful, but denying it makes you look like both a liar and a fool. I'd rather get a quick slap and get it over with than go on leaving the impression that I am either a liar or a fool.
