One thing about the spire that was there ... it was built in 1855, not in the 12th century. It might be nice to look at old paintings, diagrams, etc., and build a spire that looked like it looked before 1855.
That’s a good idea.
I posted earlier that while the spire was “new” and not original, I bet that its style was similar to the existing stuff.
“Well - it’s 1850 - we can’t build things like they did 600 years ago....”
