THE 150-year-old heart of a French priest is on a U.S. tour

And people wonder why religion has become a laughingstock in the world.
It is NOT being “Worshipped” (or being “prayed to”)!!!!
I think you’re onto something.
Splitting hairs here is what I think they are doing. It doesn’t matter, that religion does so many anti biblical things, that one can hardly know where to start.
It took me a while to figure that out, I didn’t quite get it until about 15 years ago.
Oh good grief! This is one of the worst (misleading and generally inaccurate) articles I have seen on a religious topic from the MSM in at least a few days. These folks should not be writing on subjects they clearly know nothing about.
oh, please...
Ex 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying,
Ex 20:2 I [am] the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Ex 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Ex 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:
Ex 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;
A little over reaction. My comments were about trotting a human heart around for viewing....catholic or not, that’s just bizarre. That’s all I was commenting on. Nobody wants you to turn your back on your church, but you have to admit that this is a little on the dark side.
Then why did He accept worship?
Jn 20:24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
Jn 20:25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
Jn 20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: [then] came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace [be] unto you.
Jn 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust [it] into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
Jn 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Jesus also called Himself God:
Jn 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw [it], and was glad.
Jn 8:57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
Jn 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Jn 8:59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
You mean those illiterates who built Chartre and Notre Dame Cathedral and the Duomo in Florence? Those dumb illiterates?
Agreed. Those freaking out over the word worship, please consider the source of this article. Use smelling salts for the vapors. Repeat as necessary until
Calm.
Have Catholics done this with saintly poop or an anal sphincter?
I want pictures of that veneration/worship!
I don’t find it bizarre at all. I think it’s a wonderful miracle and would have loved to be able to see it. A 150 y/o heart that hasn’t decomposed! As far as over- reacting the post just before mine said that Catholics aren’t Christians....yeah, I’m offended by all the Catholic-haters on an otherwise pretty nice site. ( that I pay monthly for, btw)
Thank you for that infallible statement and for putting yourself in the place of God who is our Judge.
Well, I would never say that catholics as a whole are not Christians. I know some very loving, catholic Christians. I also know some protestants that, were it up to me, I would certainly question their Christianity. But it isn’t, so I’ll leave that up to our great and wonderful God.
Calm down. The AP Vals it worshipping. You believe them
The AP knows nothing about the Catholic Church. Correct?
The MSM hates the Catholic Church. Maybe even more than FR does. Right?
Freepers believe the MSM when they want to
Post of the day award!
Agree. Sometimes they forget Catholics are Christians, too. Can’t stand the pope, but I love my saints. The nice thing about living in New York is we have lots of Catholics.
Christ said out of his own mouth not to worship him. It is one of those red color quotes. You are gonna have find it yourself, I am too busy.
But when my brother says praise Jesus, I tell hime Jesus said don’t.
