Jack Phillips dropped his federal lawsuit after the State backed off: Today is a win for freedom. Im very grateful and looking forward to serving my customers as I always have: with love and respect
The second attempt by the State of Colorado to punish Jack Phillips and his Masterpiece Cakeshop has come to an end, once again, with a victory for the baker.
Round 1 was the bakers refusal to create a custom cake for a same-sex marriage, on the ground that it violated the bakers Christian faith to create a message celebrating same-sex marriage.
The baker also refused to create Halloween cakes and other cakes whose messages he viewed as religiously unacceptable. He didnt refuse to sell to LGBT people, he just didnt want to have to create the message. He won the case in the Supreme Court, mostly on procedural grounds with the court not reaching the larger constitutional issues of freedom of religion and freedom of speech (to avoid compelled speech).
Round 2 was when the State went after him because he refused to create a cake celebrating a transgender transition. We covered the lawsuit in Colorado goes after Masterpiece Cakeshop again this time over gender transition cake:

I wonder if they will pay him back for all the BS they put him through?
Then he should hire the same guy representing the Covington kid vs WAPO. It was intentional. There was an article a year ago that I read that for those 2 poofters traveled 75 MILES just to do this sh*t. According to the article, there were close to 25 plus cake shops which specialize in weddings and events in their area...yet they traveled more than 50 miles just to get to this place.
They will just keep coming after him again and again.
the cpuntry requires a physical and bloody purge if we ever hope to actually live under a functioning comstitutional republic federally and in our states.
Jack Phillips . . . an American Hero
If you track the links, Phillips has a “go fund me” type of a way to give him some money- His lawyers a likely doing this pro-bono, but would probably take the cash. Since I’m not traveling to Denver, I sent him $20.
" He won the case in the Supreme Court, mostly on procedural grounds with the court not reaching the larger constitutional issues of freedom of religion and freedom of speech … "How about those "courageous" nine, year after year punting and pretending the problem will just go away.
They serve cake for getting their ding-dong whacked off?
Yup, they are slime bags.
Gov. Hickenlooper appointed all of the civil rights commission personnel. The State of Co. dropped their lawsuit against the cake designer if the cake designer would drop his federal law suit. This event happened the exact day that Gov. Hickenlooper declared his candidacy for President. As soon as Hickenlooper is not running for Pres. the persecution of Jack Phillips will start up again.
My question from the git go on all of this:
Who would want to eat anything that the cook did not want to make for them? Little too much of this or not quite enough of that and it is garbage.......
Go to a moooslim bakery in Dearborn and demand a gay cascading cake..now that would take guts.
I dont know if it can truly be a win when you have to spend a fortune and devote countless hours to defending yourself against the state and the activist scumbag plaintiffs who are seeking your destruction.
Barring some iron clad new law or decision from our masters on the Supreme Court that puts an end to this abuse, then the threat of ruinous lawsuits and state action will always be looming. That means many others will just give in to the Left and not put up a fight. And who could blame them?
Phillips resolve in the face of this abuse is truly remarkable.
And a Christian hero.
Absolutely!
May God continue to strengthen this man. He is in my prayers every night.
