I’m still trying to wrestle with competition and a desire to “win” being biblical.
(I’m no socialist by any means - see my post history - I’m just dying to reconcile my competitive spirit with Christianity - it’s one thing in sport, it’s entirely another with business and career objectives)
What’s to wrestle with?
God loves friendly gamesmanship. Paul was a sports enthusiast too. What he’s referencing below is our spiritual race.
1 Corinthians 9:24
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win.
And don’t forget the crowns that many of us will get. I know I’m getting at least one (Crown of Righteousness). Some Christians will get all of them. Amazing! That’s competitive too!
