Wrong. Liberation theology looks to communism. It masquerades as religion in order to infiltrate and dominate the church. One of the goals of communism is to replace God with the state. It is a worldly, humanistic philosophy that doesn't need Him.

Indeed, Jesuits were pioneers in the "struggle for social justice" for the natives, but it happened FAR earlier and much further south with the founding of an independent Indian country in what is now Paraguay, later destroyed by the secular political power structure.
