Government, Family, Military, Business, Education, Churches, and the Media.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 1 JOHN 5:14

The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance. The LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth. He who fashions the hearts of them all, He who understands all their works. . . The eyes of the LORD roam to and fro over all the earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is fully devoted to Him. You have acted foolishly in this matter. From now on, therefore, you will be at war. (Ps. 33:11-15; 2 Chron. 16:9)

FATHER, today we come before Your Throne of Grace and Your Great Mercy seeking the fruit of repentance that will bring our Nation to health and growth. LORD, indeed, You have given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness, and we as a Nation have turned our hearts away from You. Yes LORD, You fashioned the heart of this Nation through the mighty men of old who were committed to Truth and formed our government according to Your Words and Commands. We had Presidents who honored You, Schools that prayed to You, Families that worshipped You together, and Churches that were committed to the Gospel. But now, LORD, we have acted foolishly in this matter, and what remains for us is a divided Nation, at constant war with each other. We wonder LORD, at the rate things are going, as Your eyes gaze over our Nation, as You consider all our works, surely we fear that when Christ returns, will He find faith on the earth. We fear that for our Nation, we fear that for our grandchildren, LORD, our future generation of loved ones. Oh GOD, please, let Your Favor look upon these little ones who have fallen victim to a godless Nation. You are mighty to save, and You will always have a remnant that will be Yours, for indeed, the earth is full of Your Glory, and Your Praise must not ever be silent. Amen.

So today Father, we bring before You prayers for our President, our Vice President, our Leaders. Renew a right spirit within them by opening up the chambers of each governing body with the reading and speaking of Your Word. “For the word of the LORD is right, and all His work is done in truth. He loves righteousness and justice” (and as a result) “The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.” (Ps, 33:4-5) Oh God, we are weary and tired of the evil laws and unjust ways that govern our Nation. We cannot have a partial awakening or a temporal repentance. This is a mighty call, and You are a mighty God. So this is a mighty request. We long for the day when once again we can hear the praise of our Nation sing: God Bless America, land that I love, for indeed only can a Nation be blessed when it’s GOD IS THE LORD.

Father, we also ask for You to look with Mercy upon the hearts of our heroes, on the battlefield, at home, in preparation for deployment, and those in any stage of recovery or return. Please LORD, give them first and foremost the ability to lean fully on You for strength, courage, stability, comfort, and peace. Grant them victory to face those things for which our Nation is up against. When their time is done, please LORD, grant them the blessing of knowing that they served both You and their fellow man well, and receive in their hearts the joy that comes from pleasing You.

LORD, please look down on us, as we lift up our eyes toward YOU, and may repentance and grace, confession and mercy, and deliverance from evil result in resounding Praise. In JESUS NAME, and because of what He has done for us, we pray, knowing that through HIM alone, “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are inclined to their prayer”. (1 Peter 3:12) Amen.
