San Diego bishop publishes his 'pastoral reflections' on listening sessions
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (ChurchMilitant.com) - The bishop of San Diego is denying the existence of a gay subculture in his diocese, in spite of abundant evidence to the contrary.
The conclusion comes after multiple "listening sessions" held by Bp. Robert McElroy throughout October and November, where a total of 2,000 Catholics showed up at various sessions to voice their concerns and air their grievances.
Promoting Homosexual Ideology
A number of Catholics at these sessions challenged the bishop on the issue of homosexuality.
In 2017, McElroy took part in an LGBT Mass celebrating the 20th anniversary of "Always Our Children," a document issued by the U.S. bishops criticized for softening Church teaching on homosexuality.
After Holy Communion, a transvestite took to the lectern to praise McElroy for having "spoken out for equality and civil rights," going on to gush that his "prayers were answered" after having lived in San Diego for 50 years.
Those in attendance noted that there were no calls for chastity or repentance for the many members of the LGBT community in the pews.
The most egregious example of McElroy's pro-homosexual stance involved his decision to promote Aaron Bianco, a man in a same-sex marriage, to be "pastoral associate" at St. John the Evangelist parish. Bianco, known for pushing causes that contradict Catholic teaching, had fallen out of favor under the previous bishop, but was revived and placed back in "ministry" once McElroy took office.
At St. John the Evangelist, Bianco promoted dissident pro-gay group New Ways Ministry (condemned by the Vatican), with McElroy's permission and approval. Bianco also permitted flyers in the vestibule promoting Planned Parenthood for "pregnancy termination."

Correction: There was no diocese in his gay subculture.
No SIR. Homosexuality is an “abomination” to OUR God. We are offended and WE WILL NOT TOLERATE it!
I have difficulty in believing this is a true story.
I belong to probably the most libtard parish in Hollywood. They tried the faggot mass every time Gay week came along. Now being a lib parish, you thought this was gonna be accepted right?
WRONG. A majority of the parish members were asians/mexicans and didn’t want any part of their shenanigans during the mass. It totally disappeared 4 years ago after the parishioners went in revolt.
the story was that a leading church organizer point blank asked the ass muncher in the face: “how come you only show up during gay week but never during regular sunday mass? So it’s more important to you to be gay first and Christian second?”
I don't. I fully expected it.
I was talking about the headline:
**Bishop McElroy [San Diego]: No Gay Subculture in My Diocese**
I don’t think the “no gay subculture is true in the San Diego Diocese.
When you have to issue such a proclamation - youre busted. Or in the the words of Shakespeare Methinks he doth protest too much
Is Church Militant a reliable source? Isnt it that Michael Voorhees guy?
McElroy is correct.
There is no “subculture” when it is openly celebrated, embraced, and promoted.
Michael Voris is believable. It’s the headline that I disagree with.
Well, if that is what the "important" current item of concern for the month for Bp. Robert McElroy actually is it just might be said that Bp. Robert McElroy is about one useless person.
Perhaps a few weeks in some 3rd world $81+-hole eating dog and burnt roots while attempting to convert a few of the local pops would afford Bp. Robert McElroy a bit of perspective regarding the world outside of gilded halls.
To me he would be considered worthless, but I can take a hard attitude at times regarding such narrow self-awareness.
.
My apologies; I misunderstood your first post.
Oh, right. Except lay investigators into bishops' malfeasance. OH NO! CAN'T HAVE THAT!
2) Church Militant: Check it out for yourself.
I’m aware of that. It was the part of the title: No Gay Subculture in my diocese that I disagreed with.
What does he have then? A superculture? The top guys in the chancery, etc.??
Me too. San Diego has always had a large and very vocal homosexual percent of the population.
