ANd how many homilies has this priest preached against the rampant homos and boy lovers he works around daily?
Or is he the ONE guy who went thru seminary and his whole career and never knew of or saw a thing?
The grammar is atrocious. The parents wished the coach didnt bully their kid? Geez.
No, technically it isn’t an abuse. The cruelty the low life priest inflicted was well within that legalistic structures centuries of canon lawyers have approved of.
It was all very “legal”.
He’s a moron.
Noun
1.A falsification or misrepresentation intended to disparage or discredit another.
2.False accusations or charges brought to tarnish another's reputation or standing.
A lady I knew once that locked her kids outside after school and od’ed on pain killers. (Some years earlier she had a back injury.)
At her funeral the priest talked about suicide being a sin, suffering and mental illness. He told the guests that whether she was in Heaven was God’s call, not ours or his and above his pay grade.
I wonder if this was the family’s attitude all through their son’s life - that they could not bear to hear anything that they didn’t want to hear and became hugely upset if anyone went against their wishes. This type of dynamic leads to anxiety, and then depression.
> I suspect there’s more to this story than meets the eye.
I bet there’s a homosexual aspect that’s being studiously and purposely ignored in the reporting.
Even at the kids funeral? He was coaching him to what end at the funeral?
” chances are he did not go to heaven and that is what the Church teaches. “
hmmm. What does the Bible say ...
And his homily wasn't that, sorry.
his mission was a little comfort for those grieving parents
His mission is to preach the Gospel. Period.
This amounts to an ad hominem, since there's no number of homilies he could possibly have preached on the subject that would satisfy you. You're basically saying that he has no right to preach the truth because some other priests are bad actors. Sorry, that doesn't wash.
Interesting speculation. I hadn’t even thought about that.
if he was told not to attend and did anyway, i have no problem with him getting his azz beat...
We can be thankful the New Testament teaches the Truth and not that bag of garbage that has surfaced about Roman Catholicism on this issue.
On more than occasion Christ promises that for those who believe in Him they will have eternal life.
But Rome's position on this issue has changed over time....hence my tagline.
He wasn't close to being Scripturally correct.....there is a difference between Roman Catholicism and New Testament Christianity.
And we may be thankful for that.
Given what's going on in the RCC priesthood.....it's an even money bet at this point.
So sick of you smug old farts.
There is only one avenue for salvation....faith in Christ.
For Catholics who actually know their faith, this would have been comforting.
I read the text as well and comments from another thread by a RCC canon lawyer on this topic.
There is nothing comforting not knowing whether your child is going to Heaven or not. Roman Catholicism teaches their believers don't know for sure if they've made it.
Fortunately, the New Testament contains the promises of Christ that for those who believe in Him they will have eternal life.
Wow. What compassion. I hope you're not a grief counselor in any capacity.
Roman catholics don’t go by the Bible as they should. They have their “Tradition” to guide them.
