The scriptural proof that Mary (Miriam) is the mother of God is as follows:


1. The Virgin would be the mother of Immanuel.
2. The scriptures testify Mary is the mother of Jesus.
3. The scriptures testify Mary is the mother of Immanuel (Emmanuel).
4. The scriptures testify Jesus is Immanuel.
5. The Holy Spirit interprets the Hebrew word "Immanuel" literally, "God with us."
6. Mary is the mother of "God with us".
7. Thus, Mary is the mother of God with us.

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
