Nothing Fr. James Martin shares on social media surprises me anymore.
Here is Martin promoting social justice Rosary beads for "modern sorrows" telling Catholics to meditate on LBGTQ couples, immigration, Mother Earth and other social justice topics with NO mention of Jesus at all. I'm not kidding...this is what Father James Martin is now promoting on social media.
The Rosary of Modern Sorrows invites us into guided meditation on the pain and suffering of our brothers and sisters in the U.S. and around the world. Click through the photos to read the specific social justice intentions for each decade.Made by Aline and Nziza: refugees from the Congo living in Charlotte, NC.

wow
Fr. Martin is lucky I’m not the Pope, because he would be publicly denounced and defrocked if it was up to me.
King James Version
He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.

Pardon my ignorance, but I do not see the connection.
Clerics can be very helpful. Or the opposite. Gotta select them carefully
This man is neither a priest, a Catholic nor a man.
He is a sicko.
Get rid of his guy! Everything he says is upside down
Disgusting string of beads thing (I won’t commit sacrilege by calling it a rosary) is blasphemous.
“Sicko”?
Evil. Demonic. Blasphemous. Sacrilegious.
Mary is America’s Patroness. It seems to me it is not a good idea to get her (or her Son) ticked off.
One is inclined to wonder if this individual has any faith in Our Lord at all.
May God grant him the Graces of repentance and conversion.
The sore butt (butt hurt) crowd do not want and do not deserve the commiseration of their lot by the pious. The beads are pearls not to be thrown before swine.
He can pray all he wants, LGBTQ people are NEVER going to be welcome at a mosque.
Can you imagine a U.S. soldier stationed in Iraq or Afghanistan praying the third decade of the Rosary of Modern Sorrows for the “foreigners” who are trying to kill him?
Or an abused altar boy praying the fifth decade (the Rainbow Mystery) of the same “rosary” for the welcoming of the homo priest who raped him and praying that his abuser be supported and loved, with full acceptance as a person truly created in the image of God, a creation that God saw as “good”, and deserves to live every aspect of life to the fullest?
2) On a side note, I make rosaries. I'll sometimes play with the colors of wire, beads, and findings for artistic effect. I'll also sometimes use richer materials ("birthstone" Swarovski crystal, for example) when making a special gift. That ... thing ... depicted in the OP is incredibly UGLY.
I think it's horrible.
1) I’m not a fan of “primitive”. It’s primitive.
2) It’s badly executed. I’m not a fan of bad execution.
3) It’s an example of incoherent iconography. I’m not a fan of incoherence.
I wouldn’t use it.
At all.
For anything.
