Could ya shock me with the scripture that makes you think this?
You: Could ya shock me with the scripture that makes you think this?
I appreciate all the good work you do on FR for Jesus Christ but it shocks me that a Christian would not know this stuff...The scripture you request encompasses scores and scores of scriptures...I don't have time right now to list them all...Here's a little sampling...
Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Rom 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Rom 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Rom 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
We are righteous, right now...We are just, right now...We have been judged already...
Gal_3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
We are just right now as we try to live by faith...
Rom_1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Paul is speaking to Christians...We shall judge the world and angels, NOT to be the judged...
Rev_20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Joh 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
That final resurrection is referred to as the second death for those that will go into outer darkness...After the thousand year reign with Jesus on earth...That second death has no power over Christians...After we have reigned WITH Jesus Christ, we're certainly not going to go thru a judgement to find out if we have been good or bad enough to avoid the second death...
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Those at the White Throne Judgment will be judged by their works...There are no Christians there...
1Co 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
1Co 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
1Co 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
1Co 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Christians will not be judged by their works...We've already been declared righteous...But our works will be judged...Our good and acceptable works will be judged and we will be rewarded thus...Our not so good works will be burned up never to be mentioned again...That is the only way Jesus can present us before the Father as being Holy...
And this takes place prior to the Wedding of the Bride and Groom, which hasn't happened yet...
