2 Thessalonians 3:10

Even when we were with you we were giving you this command: “If anyone doesn’t want to work, they shouldn’t eat.”

Would a Democrat Christian reject this verse? If so, how are they a Christian?

Ephesians 4:28
He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing good with his own hands, that he may have something to share with the one in need.

1 Thessalonians 4:11
and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you,

Depends. Article 12 of the 1936 USSR constitution contains a distorted version of 2 Thessalonians 3:10.
In the USSR, work is a duty and a matter of honor for every able-bodied citizen, in accordance with the principle: “He who does not work, neither shall he eat.”

The principle applied in the USSR is that of socialism: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his work.”
So a Democrat would certainly continue to fool himself into thinking he is a practicing Christian on such a basis, while fighting God at the same time; after all, that scriptural principle is not being rejected per se. Same old doublethink, direct from the god of this world.
