Unfortunately St. Denis street (where the church is) in central Paris is a hub of prostitution. Became aware of that decades ago during my world travels as a young man, when I happened to take a hotel the next street over, and saw all the men standing at the end of the street gazing at all the “wares” displayed in the doorways. I remember one who was snared and led upstairs. Reminded me of the verse “So he was led like a sheep to the slaughter...”
I was a good Baptist boy and would never have so much as strolled down St. Denis. Now I am getting up in years
no longer Baptist but Christian none the less and by God’s grace have never strayed. Paris is one of the very few places I would have liked to have revisited but from what I have heard the place has turned into a sewer with all the homeless migrants camping all over. Back in the day the city was matchless.
