Armed protesters fired on the unarmed Iranian soldiers in a parade yesterday, killing 30. This was not ISIS but a local group, displaying the division and weakness within Iran.
More on the downing of the Russian plane and the slow but seemingly inexorable path toward war, due to the financial threats on Russia, Iran, and Turkey.
This is still the calm before the storm but the dark cloud of the Ezekiel War can be seen.

I’ve met Iranins.....they describe themselves as “Persians”.
They killed Iran's Revolutionary Guards, not happless, cannon-fodder conscripts. Think Islamic SS. They are all fair game, armed or not.
Same with the ones I’ve met.

I could be mistaken, but I believe that Iranians who refer to themselves as Persian are Christian. If they refer to themselves as Iranian, they're muslim.

Being Iran, it could be, but there is so much dissent, economic unhappiness, sectarian differences that such a scheme is unlikely. The group that did it is Sunni, while in the mountains the Kurds are attacking Iranian patrols and suffering rocket attacks over the border into Iraq by the Guards.
No. It should have been “anti-regime militants” or “anti-regime terrorists” or something like that. (I wrote the intro as a kind of summary.)
