[Urgent] Ecumenical Patriarchate sends Legates to Ukraine (Orthodox Caucus)

The Chief Secretariat of the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate announced on 7 September 2018 that within the framework of the preparations for the granting of autocephaly to the Orthodox Church in Ukraine, the Ecumenical Patriarchate has appointed as its Exarchs in Kiev His Excellency Archbishop Daniel of Pamphilon from the United States, and His Grace Bishop Ilarion of Edmonton from Canada, both of whom are serving the Ukrainian Orthodox faithful in their respective countries under the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

The Church is on the precipice of the most serious threat to ecclesial unity in a thousand years. Pope Bartholomew I is playing a dangerous game. He undoubtedly understands that the Russians will break communion with him. My guess is that he is fine with that and is banking on their being isolated without support from the other autocephalous churches. I think he may be miscalculating. We shall see.

This all started when the obama Administration (especially Victoria Nuland/”Noodlehead”) engineered a coup against the democratically elected government of Ukraine.

Since then, the bogus Ukrainian government—(including neo-Nazi elements) has been attacking everything Russian, even though most Ukrainians speak Russian and Kiev is known as the “Mother of Russian cities”. This includes attacking the Russian Orthodox Church—from individual parishes up to trying to steal Autocephaly from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate!!

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church here in the US is under the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and thus is canonical. But the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-”Kyiv Patriarchate” is non-canonical, and we are NOT in communion with it. Now the thuggish Ukrainian government is trying to change all that!

I do not see the Church of Serbia—at least—recognizing an “autocephalous” “Ukrainian Orthodox Church”. We’ll see about the rest.

Meanwhile—because of the failure of the recent so-called “Council”, the issue of the American Orthodox Churches remains unsettled. Instead, we’re getting this disruptive circus in Ukraine!!!!

Orthodoxy in the North American diaspora is an aberration and a scandal.

Sixteen Canonical Bishops having jurisdiction in NYC?

Fourteen in Chicagoland?
